Escaping The World: Lost in Book (book 1)

Escaping The World: Lost in Book (book 1)

He asks with something in his voice I can't quite identify. "You don't know." I say with a slight chuckle in my voice. "Just pick one." I watch idle as he sifts through all the books until he picks one. House of Earth and Blood by Sarah J Maas. "That is one of my favourite books. Although I might just be biased because I love her writing." I lean back in the chair with a satisfied look on my face. "What makes you love someone's writing?" He sits back in his chair and looks at me curiously.

Redemption’s Sweet Surprise

Redemption’s Sweet Surprise

“Suboptimal for intimate conversation. We will take future meals in the morning room or the annex. The data supports it.” Keila, emboldened by the strange new setting, looked at him. “Mr. Luther, what was your favorite room when you were little?” He paused, his fork halfway to his mouth. The question, from his past, in this formal room, seemed to disorient him. “The… the library. It was predictable. The books were in a fixed order. The silence was complete.” “Did you have a favorite book?” “The Way Things Work. By David Macaulay. It presented complex mechanical systems as logical, visual narratives.” He offered a rare, unprompted piece of personal data. “I found it… reassuring.”

Claimed by my Brother’s Best Friends

"So I've heard." We make our way back to the living room, and I sit on the couch while Mason returns to the armchair. "Uh, what are you reading?" I ask, since I guess we're actually having a conversation right now. Zuri greedily sucks down her bottle, not paying any attention to us. Mason laughs nervously, rubbing the back of his neck. "Oh, um, 'Salem's Lot'. Stephen King is my favorite author." Wow, so he reads on the regular.

I still don’t understand why you would change a book that had a wonderful cover that was a biker themed book to make it look like a bunch of nerdy kids from college when you had a wonderful cover now no one wants to read it because of your change that and taking so long between chapters

the interesting part is Alyssa is a hypocrite when it comes to watch Isacc she disgusted but when Nico and King are doing exactly the same she got aroused!!!! Dark and twisted but still interesting. I also want to mention that not any women abused emotionally and physically can accept any touch..

He looked relaxed, laid-back in a way I hadn’t seen him before now. “Okay, what about books?” he asked. “My turn again.” “Oh, that’s a tough one.” I furrowed my brow. As a librarian, it was difficult to come close to narrowing it down to one or even ten. “I don’t know. But I’ll always love Stephen King.” “Right.” He nodded.

I looked down at the book in my hands and opened to a random page, hoping the gruesome details would help me gain control of my body. "Do you have a favorite?" Her voice came from the direction of the doorway. I hadn't even heard it open. Surprisingly, I found the subject interesting, and the psychology behind it was fascinating. I'd already read about some guy and his murder castle, a real-life killer clown, and a black widow that killed any man that came near her. "My favorite is Dennis Rader." "Your favorite?" I asked in confusion. Surely, she couldn't mean her favorite serial killer, that was just creepy.

Death's Favorite

"She really is a King." ‎Was that their surname? I narrowed my eyes at him. King... Kiean King, Kendrick King, and Kael King. ‎"You know the Kings?" Sarah's voice penetrated my thoughts as I recalled one of her yapping sessions. "The most prestigious family in the state. They hold keys to the power houses of the representatives and they lead a lot of tech companies. But, poor kids had to witness their parents and little sister's deaths at a very young age. It was all over the country, the news, and even in the papers. Tsk tsk, such a tragedy."

FOUR SHADES OF DREY

FOUR SHADES OF DREY

I couldn't hide my surprise. "Really." He showed me his Kindle app, which was indeed open to The Stand. "What's your favorite part?" And just like that, we started talking about Stephen King. About the characters we loved and hated. About the themes of good versus evil, society versus chaos. About how terrifying and hopeful the ending was. I forgot to be anxious, forgot to feel ugly and worthless. I just talked about something I loved with someone who actually cared about what I had to say. We talked for what felt like minutes but must have been longer because suddenly Sienna was back, holding two coffee cups and staring at us with barely concealed shock.

After resting for a while, they walked around and saw a bookstore which they both agreed to enter. She was reading the back of Sense and Sensibility by Jane Austen when Jacob asked her. “What do you say let’s read horror books? Like the ones we watched today?” “Eh? I’m scared. You go read first, then give me a summary, then I’ll decide. Haha!” “Roger!” as he picked The Dunwich Horror and Others by H.P. Lovecraft and IT by Stephen King. They finished book shopping, it was around three in the afternoon when Jacob invited her to go somewhere else.

The Two Kings and the Lost Elder

The Two Kings and the Lost Elder

It was the way the Omega was smiling and blushing as he looked up at the scary Alpha. Sebastian found himself slowly wandering the room, looking at all the things that belonged to the Alpha: the paintings on the walls, the knickknacks on shelves, and the colorful hand-blown glass on the bookcase. His fingers ran along the books, and he noticed the entire collection was from the same author, Stephen King. They were all hardcover and looked to be in perfect condition. He wondered what kind of story those books told. Were they romantic or funny? It's been so long since he read a book. He slightly pulled back a book titled Needful Things before sighing and pushing it back into place.

This also allows the Werewolf King to see what is happening to his people and take action to correct it. While this book is still in progress, and I am not aware of where she will take this. It would, in my opinion, benefit the werewolves to have a king and higherarchy with regulations set in place.

This is a great book!!! I love the storyline & the depth of the characters. I've read all Abigail's books but this could be read on its own. I really love seeing characters grow and mature, find their mates, help them thru trauma. I am excited to read this book everyday, its a highlight of my day!

"Well, that hurt. I can read, you know." Wetness pooled in her panties and she couldn't stop staring at his outrageously frowning lips. "What do you read?" She barely had enough air in her lungs to get the words out. "Stephen King." She gave a small giggle. "Well that makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside." "That's where I learned my despicable vocabulary." "I'm impressed that you actually know a synonym for nefarious." "Your lovely, attractive, and dazzling splendor brings out the thesaurus in me."
