Though my stepfather refused to let them leave his sight, making sure they were escorted to school and back with protection around the clock. He didn’t want anything to happen to his grandsons at all. My stepbrothers—Rodrigo, Antonio, and Miguel—had also taken it upon themselves to personally escort Liam and Leo to school.
