He tries to stop the bleeding, but it bubbles out uncontrollably. His eyes bulge in defiance as he croaks, “Never... can... happen.” His words are garbled from his broken throat. He tries to say more, but Flash bites down, ending his life.

"I'm your granddaughter! You clearly knew how dangerous he could be, yet you still forced me to marry him? "Do you really think that little of me?" Seeing her twisted expression, Steven seemed to age ten years in an instant. After a long silence, he finally spoke. "You'll regret this." There was a pause between each word. His eyes carried a sense of pain. "How could I ever regret killing a monster?" Jessica screamed hysterically. Steven pointed at me on the ground. "His name is Christopher. He used to be the ace of the Special Forces. Now he's part of my Classified Unit."

He asked as he sat back, waiting for me to answer him. I took a seat in front of the desk. "Well, I have a business proposition for you, but I don't do anything with people I don't know." "Really?" He eyed me for quite a long time before he spoke again. "The name is Steven... Steven Black and as of a week ago I took charge in the absence of the Rogue King." He smirked as he leaned forward on his desk. "Now that you know who I am, who are you, and what do you want?"

he said with a glare, daring any of them to try and kick him out. "You are Steven mate, aren't you?" Jordon asked, recognizing his name. He smiled, patting the guy on his shoulder when he stared at him wide-eyed. "Steve is a friend. There are no judgments here, Chris, we know a lot of mixed blood who have found a mate in the authority" he said.

Admiration tugged at her heart, but she quickly pushed it aside when a young man made his way over to her. It was none other than Steven, King Greg’s cousin. Tall with wavy black hair and smouldering blue eyes, he had a smile that was both charming and menacing. “Why hello there,” he said huskily as he reached out for Lyra’s hand. “Hey there,” Steven said, his voice smooth. “I’m Steven. You must be Lyra.” Lyra nodded and smiled politely. “Yes, that’s me. Nice to meet you.” Steven’s eyes swept over her, and he smirked. “So, you’re the new wolf in the pack. Interesting.”

This will all be over soon,” I assured Lea and walked towards the car roaring in our direction. I saw two muscular men coming out of the vehicle. They looked like the Mountain from Game of Thrones but on steroids. ‘Stay close to me all the time, Luna. I can smell they are not humans,’ Steven said in our mind-link. He opened the link between the three of us so that Lea could be aware of the situation as well.

“You’re the prey tonight.” Steven smirked. “Five against one? That’s not even a challenge.” The men raised their weapons, aiming at him. “You won’t be laughing for long,” one of them sneered. Steven’s eyes glowed with an icy blue light, and a chilling grin spread across his face. “I’ll make you regret those words. Let’s dance.” Then he turned to me, his expression fierce. “Run, Luna. Now.” I didn’t wait for another warning. I turned and ran, the sound of his laughter echoing behind me.

Derren replied. Steven got up from the bed and stood up straight. He only had his trousers on, leaving his top half open completely. His torso and arms were stained with bruise marks from the cables and pipes that were stuck to his body during his time with Professor Joseph. “Governor Gerald, Professor Joseph, and Evelyn are going to die by my hands. For the sake of Gregory and for the sake of all the people they put through so much pain because of their selfish goals, I'm going to make sure they pay,” Steven said, his voice laced with anger as he tightened his fist.
