The sound repeated itself. Valerie's face turned as red as a tomato because her stomach had been the cause. Kieran put his book down and looked toward the couch. Valerie's stomach continued to growl. She pressed on her belly firmly. The little voice inside her head scolded her stomach, "Why haven't you rumbled when I starved you before? We've only skipped one meal, and you're making it sound like you've been starved for ages. Are you looking for trouble?"

Maybe throw in hunger and thirst with that too if you describe them with facial expression. I heard my stomach as it began to growl as if there’s a tiger living inside it. I brought myself to the kitchen and I was thinking of finding something eat. I only saw a box of pizza from the cheapest and nastiest pizza place in the city. I wasn’t really expecting anything which immediately came into fruition when I opened the box. There’s just a tiny long piece of crust left. “Shit! This life fucking sucks!” I whispered to myself gritting with mixed feelings of annoyance and rage.

The marble beneath our feet was no longer cold or static. It had acquired the slight, humid give of living tissue. As we sprinted toward the heart of the palace, the walls began to contract in a rhythmic, slow-motion wave. In medicine, we call this peristalsis: the involuntary constriction and relaxation of a canal that pushes contents forward. Usually, it happens in the esophagus to move a bolus of food. Now, it was happening in the corridors of my home, and we were the contents being pushed toward the "stomach."

If my body still wants more? My stomach growls, reminding me that I still hadn't eaten and am very hungry. He was making us sandwiches when we got rather distracted in the kitchen earlier. I can guess where he is right now. Getting up and wrapping myself again with the duvet, I step out of the bedroom to find him in the kitchen.

Just a step into the house and I could feel my tummy rumbling, it felt like I was about to puke all over the place--- eating too much can do that to a person. *Grumble* the sound made from my tummy like my whole system flushed out and was ready for excretion, sweats formed on my forehead as the tummy grumbled several times, I thought how embarrassing it will be if Damon saw me like this but cared less when it got so serious.

As if on cue, a deep, resonant growl erupted from within me, breaking the fragile silence of the morning and reverberating off the walls like a primal cry for sustenance. Startled, Joshua spun around with an exaggerated motion, his features contorting into a blend of disdain and awkward fascination. His gaze swept from my flushed face down to the source of the disturbance—a rebellious stomach that seemed intent on announcing its presence to the world. Heat flooded my cheeks, mingling with a pang of mortification that twisted in the pit of my stomach. Avoiding Joshua’s eyes, I wished fervently for a distraction, for anything to divert attention from this humiliating display.
