Fake Fiancée, Real Boss

Fake Fiancée, Real Boss

The city outside had shifted into nighttime. Lights glowed through the glass windows, painting the office in softer reflections. It should’ve been peaceful. Instead, it felt eerie. Like I had somehow wandered into a different version of Gregory Empire. My neck ached. My shoulders hurt. And my laptop screen had started looking mildly offensive. I checked the time again. Still 8:52. Fantastic. Time itself had apparently stopped moving. My phone buzzed softly beside my keyboard. I grabbed it immediately. Not because I was eager.

so far I really like the story. Jaxon is definitely bad news, but I feel underneath the swag and bravado, he's actually really nice. and Hazel definitely knows how to navigate the den of wolves, in her cute way of course. I'm excited for the rest of the journey ......

Wasn't just intrigued by the flow of the plot, but I was hooked from the start. Firstly I love the bad boy Jaxon, he is a dark character under the youngie body. He knows what he wants and knows how to make use of opportunities. For Hazel, seeing her open up her smut side to Jax will be worth it.

Break the Wait

Break the Wait

He grabbed his phone and called the number he had remembered by heart. He wanted to question her and talk some sense into her. "Sorry, the number you have dialed is unavailable," a cold, robotic voice rang out. Jason froze and wondered if she had deactivated her number. He kept calling again and again, only stopping when his phone battery died and the screen went black. He sat in the dark, his stomach still aching, but the pain in his chest was far greater. A wave of fear and unfamiliar anguish washed over him, leaving him struggling to breathe.

Mr. Kane Got Blacklisted

Mr. Kane Got Blacklisted

He had not even moved from his chair between the last call and this one. "I don't care what mode it's on. Tell me how to stop it!" Trevor strongly suspected that Keegan was stalling for time. Keegan responded "Oh," and continued slowly, " Well, it's not set up yet." Trevor was furious. He gritted his teeth and asked, "What did you say?" "I said we haven't set up the force stop function yet. After all, it's still in the development stage, and it's normal for the program to be imperfect."

I am on chapter 1700 and trust me this has to be the only book here that I have not lost interest in,i.e, the chapters have not dragged on and you literally are on the edge of your seat throughout the book. Enjoyed the whole book except the last few chapters.Hope the story doesn't become cliched now

What makes this story good are the characters, mainly the lead characters. Unlike other stories where the leads are usually portrayed as someone omnipotent with multiple hidden excellent identities, both Stella and Keegan have their own flaws and weaknesses, which made their characters more charming

TWO PINK LINES, ONE NIGHT STAND

TWO PINK LINES, ONE NIGHT STAND

“So 2:47 PM helps her. Like it helps us.” _Thump._ Adrian looked at me. I looked at Adrian. 2:47 PM. For 11 seconds. For 588 days. Now for 19 years. “Yes,” Adrian said. “We can tell 2:47 PM. Today. At 2:47 PM. We’ll stop. For Chloe. And we won’t start again until she can stop with us.” _Silence. Car. 11:38 AM._ “Good,” Alex said. Leaned back.

THIS TIME

THIS TIME

I quickly say, immediately turning around with intention to dash out of here. " Stop!" I stop in my tracks, with my hand on the door knob. I slowly and nervously glance over my shoulder at him, feeling stuck and rooted in place. " Don't you dare walk out of that door." He says, rising to his feet. When did he end the call? " I didn't come to see you." That's the only thing, I can think of saying. The one thing at the top of my head. " You're here." He says immediately, almost cutting me off.
