Story Of The Last Chrysanthemum นิยาย & เรื่องราว

"I really like your necklace! Can I see it?" "Sure. I mean about the necklace, not the party. I'm working." I leaned in to show off my pendant to her. "It's so pretty! What does it mean? Have you guys seen this? It's a wolf with a full moon behind it." "Where did you get that!" The guy, who I now knew was named Krewe, asked as he reached for it. I stepped back before he could grab it, "my parents gave it to me. They died when I was young."

"Are you paying attention?" "Yes, of course," I lied, straightening in my chair. Mrs. Benedetti's expression suggested she didn't believe me for a second. "Then perhaps you can tell me the significance of white chrysanthemums in Italian-American tradition?" I stared at her blankly, having absolutely no idea. The silence stretched uncomfortably until she sighed with the long-suffering patience of someone dealing with a particularly slow student. "Death and mourning, Mrs. Romano. Sending white chrysanthemums to a rival family would be considered a direct threat." She made a note on her ever-present tablet. "I'll be sure to mention your... distraction... to your husband this evening."

I had known this for a long time. My eyelids felt so heavy. I was ready to go. I was so tired. Selena was crying loudly, but I couldn't comfort her anymore. On April 20th, I closed my eyes for the last time and slipped away.

"Lex, you know it as well as I do. What we had ended three years ago. "Everything you're doing now? It's a burden to me. Whether you believe it or not, I'm married. So please—stop showing up in my life. Can you do that?" With every word, his face went a shade paler. I didn't look back. I just walked away, letting the sound of the bracelet hitting the ground and a muffled sob fade behind me. That was the last time I saw Lex. Even when I visited Grandpa Hubert at the Hamilton mansion, Lex was nowhere to be found. Ivana was gone, too.

*Xanvier's pov* I smiled like a school boy as I held the candles as though they were candies. Few nights ago at Mexico, I planned something similar, but Sandra stayed up late at work. Tonight, it's going to as planned, I feel it already. "One, two, three..." I counted as I placed candle on each stair. I continued like that until I reached the bedroom. I hurriedly downstairs to lit it and back inside the room to make the bed. I was super excited. I checked my drawer for the pack of condoms I bought earlier, took it out and placed it on th the bed for easy access.

"I grew these yellow chrysanthemums myself, Donna Marchetti. I handpicked the prettiest nine blossoms and wrapped them especially for you. "You don't have to be polite with me, Donna Marchetti. It might be a lot of hard work growing these flowers, but the moment I thought about this bouquet bringing you joy, I didn't feel weary in the slightest." Upon hearing that, Leone Vittoria, my husband, instinctively pulled Carina into his embrace, his face etched with concern. Donna Marchetti scoffed and handed the flowers to the Soldato beside her. "Is that so? Why would you choose yellow chrysanthemums—a flower meant to wish death upon someone in our culture—if your intention was really to make me h

Now both temples were white, like snow that would never melt. I reached for her hair. My hand passed right through. She couldn't feel me. After that, Mom sat on the couch every day, holding one of my jackets. My dark blue school uniform jacket. The one I wore the day I died. Bloodstains still marked the fabric. They hadn't washed out, only faded to dark brown. She folded it neatly, pressed it to her chest, rested her chin on it, and closed her eyes. Sometimes she sat there from sunrise to sunset. No lights. No food. No movement.

He laughed at his own selfishness and the reckless way he'd pushed himself into a dead end. In the end, regret was the only thing he managed to hold onto. "Other than the house I'm living in, transfer everything else to her." He knew I no longer needed the love that had come too late. The only thing he could still give me was everything except that. Meanwhile, on a beach in the Maldivis, I floated peacefully on an inflatable raft beneath the sun. A notification suddenly appeared on my phone. A large transfer had been deposited into my account. Smiling, I turned off the screen, then I tossed the phone into the ocean.

In my head, everything was so messed up, that I couldn't figure out what I wanted. The morning of the homeland is so peaceful, Da Lat is engulfed in mist, the sun is shining in the dawn, melting the glittering dew drops in the sky, breaking into the flowers that are competing for color everywhere, I step by step slowly throughout the flower garden behind the house, all of which have withered for a long time, but only the small chrysanthemum garden is still gorgeous in the middle of the dead garden, it just keeps blooming like an angel in the underworld. Running back, I reached out and touched the small flowers lightly, a feeling of comfort, lightness indescribable, maybe this is the only pla

If I walk into that room now, and he’s still like that… I might break into pieces I can’t put back together. “I will, but not yet.” He didn't say anything to that, just went to the drivers seat and started the engine. --- The bell above the little flower shop chimed when I pushed the door open. The air smelled of fresh lilies and roses... and maybe something green and fresh. My fingers touched every bloom like they could whisper to me. And then I saw it...a single white chrysanthemum. “I’ll take this one,” I said.
