I had chosen a small town in southern Italor, a place where Mom had lived as a young girl. Mom often told me stories about this place when I was little. She'd tell me about the white houses surrounded by lemon trees, an azure coastline, and the peace of church bells echoing through the mountains at dusk. After Mom passed away, Dad had wanted to bring me here to settle down, but he was always too tied up with the family business to make it happen. Now, I had come on their behalf. I rented a small apartment facing the sea, with its white walls slightly warmed by the sun. On the windowsill sat a pot of blooming bougainvilleas.

After some minutes of hesitation, Alex followed him from behind while hastening his pace so that he could meet up with Adrian. After walking for some minutes, Adrian stopped in front of the palace's library and walked inside, and with that, Alex followed him from behind. Getting into the library, Adrian went towards one of the shelves and took a book on which was written "Night Story Book," and on the cover was an image of a mother reading a story for her kids during bedtime. "Do you still remember this book? Mum used to read it for us every night before we went to bed," Adrian said to Alex as he threw the book to him, and with that, Alex caught it and took a look at it before smiling.

Once bitten, twice shy, as they say. Two years later, I was pregnant again. Time seemed to have passed by so quickly. Sometimes Horace would ask me, "How many years do I have left?" See? He was sharp, too. Just because he didn't ask often didn't mean he couldn't sense something was off. When he asked, I'd answer, "Only tomorrow. You should hurry up. When you're gone, I'll use your money to fill the house with young men. You know I could do it, right?"

I would be damned if I only instructed them and left. For a million years, my order would only accumulate dirt, as Ethan and Ezra would bury themselves in their video games and Emily would baby Penny. “Mum, tell us a bedtime story.” Ezra pleaded. Defeated, I began my tale of the legendary Wolf's King and his Luna. It happened to be their favourite story, and they never grew weary of it. In less than ten minutes, they were all fast asleep, like wasted adults. I tucked them into bed and watched them sleep for a while before turning off the light.

Some hours later:- Trisha closed the bedtime story book. She looked at her son, who was sleeping soundly beside her. It was their daily routine. Rain likes to hear stories before sleeping. Before, he didn't have to do that because back in their apartment, Rain preferred Zee instead of Trisha to read the story for him. "His mom doesn't know how to read the story in a cool way," he explained. Trisha pecked her son's brow, admiring his sleeping form.

I talked to Bubble touching my big belly. "Meh. I disappeared only for a second and you two are already searching for me." Bright came in closing the door behind. I flashed a smile excitedly and waited for him to switch off the lights first, only leaving the bed side light so he could read a fairy tale to Bubble. "Yay, come quickly. I chose a Disney princess story today." I said showing him a thick book which had the story along with beautiful pictures matching every scene. It was Snow White and the seven dwarfs.

she blinked. Liam leaned down, kissing her tenderly on the forehead. "I'll tell you a story, and you'll fall asleep soon." Liam swiped the screen while his beautiful eyebrows knitted. "What kind of story would you like?" Gemma slowly closed her eyes. "I'll listen to whatever story you tell." "How about 'The Tortoise and the Hare' or 'Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs'?" "These are too childish," Gemma said with dissatisfaction, quietly opening her eyes.

I blush while looking over at Raven who approaches me with a few books in hand. “What did you find?” I question while holding up a pair of shorts checking if they will fit. I smiled when I see Rebecca grabbing tank tops in colors, she knows I love. “I found a couple pregnancy books that look good, and I found this one of Viking stories it reminds me of Vaari,” Raven answers while showing me the books and I smile remembering Mummo Adaline and Vaari Jyrki always reading us stories. “They look good, thank you,” I smile while grabbing the story book and open it seeing that it looks like Mummo’s book or at least the illustrations do.

"And that was the story of Jack and the beanstalk," I smiled as I closed the book. I settled the book on the bedside table and returned to the little ones. "How was that for a bedtime story?" I asked as I looked at them from the top bunk to the pull-a-bed on the floor.

It was Francine. I gave a nod but tried to maintain a stern face. Alex ran to me and asked, "So are we riding an airplane? " "Yes we are little boy." I said smirking at him and messing up his hair. The sound of horns from the taxi signaled that we were all about to have a major change in our lives. I am Attorney Providence Dalton. Provi to my my closest friends.. Atty.
