Then he joined her in arranging travel and told her where to go and what hotel to check into upon her arrival in Europe next week. Only came here a few months ago, and everyone thought the Alpha would choose someone more…seasoned to be his second in command.” I should be angry at Clyde for not giving me this information before; after all, last night could have gone much worse. I could have been mortally wounded, but instead I ignore that and fixate on what he’s said about James.

He nodded at me and I continued. "I have a couple of surprises for you tonight. We have some new students that will be starting Rose Hills High on Monday. They are two very special people and know that if you mess with them, I will come for you" I promised darkly. The crowd was silent and seemed surprised to hear my words.

Then he bent down, kissed my forehead, and asked with a raw edge to his voice, “What about your cycle, my love?” The thought made me sigh with frustration. “Don’t worry, Alpha Marcus. It’s regular now.” His lips brushed from my forehead to my cheek, whispering deeply, “Then we won’t risk it.” A sudden coolness shocked me as he pulled out and spilled himself hot against my stomach. My body shook with the sensation.

Darwin frowned slightly, clearly trying to understand where this was heading. But Camille? Camille understood immediately. And the very small smile spreads across her lips dangerously. Alpha Jose dismissed them and left the room, the others exited, leaving Beta George and Sofia to discuss. Sofia wondered why he wanted to talk privily with her. He began speaking… “I'm going to write the letter and give it to you, it has to be delivered today not directly to the Starlight pack but instead to an address I would give you. You are not allowed to open it”. Sofia gazed at him, wondering what he was planning by sending her to do a servant's task. He didn't like her and Sofia was aware of that even though she was part of their pack now.
