Remembering that she left her phone in the next tent, Summer immediately jumped out. "That must be Mommy and Daddy! They want to tell me that they're on the cruise ship!" The others rushed to follow her. When they arrived at the next tent, Summer was already sitting cross-legged with her phone pressed to her ear. "Mommy, Daddy! Have you arrived at the cruise ship?" "Hello, Honey. Isn't it still early there? Why are you so excited?" Sky asked. "Because I knew today would be a fun day, Mommy. Just like yesterday. I had a great time here. I did a lot of experiments with River. Then, we all gathered in the backyard. I, River, Uncle Brandon, and Aunt Briony slept in a tent."

I had to find a way to make him understand I wasn't there to deceive or hurt him, but maybe that was impossible. … Over the next few days, Elena's phone buzzed nonstop. Every notification was from Sabrina. There were numerous photos and videos, all capturing cheerful scenes from summer camp. In one clip, Benjamin and Charlotte stood proudly beside Sabrina, their faces glowing as they introduced her to their classmates. "This is our mom!" The other children gasped in envy. "Wow, your mom is so pretty!" "Your dad's handsome, and your mom's beautiful. You guys are so lucky!" Then, a curious child asked, "Who's the lady who usually picks you up from school?"

I told him then looked out the window. Summer camp, on our last year of high school we went on a summer camp. It was a training camp for all the alpha’s children. They organized different instructors to train us on different fighting skills. My father didn’t only send me on that camp. He sent all three of us. Me, Jake, and Aiden. He said we were all going to be leaders of the pack and that we should all learn to protect ourselves and the pack. When we got to summer camp, Jake blended in nicely and quickly with everyone. Let’s face it, Jake was a people person and got along with everyone. The fact that he was a gamma didn’t even come up and everyone just assumed he was an alpha. Which didn’t
