Survival of the Fittest

Survival of the Fittest

He immediately swam over and used his dagger to cut me free before pulling me toward the surface. His face was pale, and the wound on his arm was soaked white from the water. The bandage around his right leg was stained with fresh blood. Yet he had a firm grip on me as if afraid I might get hurt again. "I'm sorry I couldn't find your ring." There was no way the ring would be my main priority at a time like this. Though it was important, it couldn't compare to a person's life. "Come on. Let us take you to the keeper's."

Scratching for Survival

Scratching for Survival

"If I remember right, you've still got one scratch card left, don't you? Don't come crying poor to me. I'm not falling for that! If you're so capable, do what you did when you got into college and won all those scholarships. Use your luck!" The call cut off abruptly. When I tried again, her phone was off. The single remaining scratch card in my hand suddenly felt impossibly heavy. I did not dare scratch it. I was terrified it would be another loss. When the semester started, my weight had been normal. Now I was severely malnourished. At five foot five, I weighed only 73 pounds. Blue veins showed through my skin. There was not a trace of color in my face. When I got back to the dorm, no one w

Reborn in the Freeze: My Million-Dollar Shelter Begins with

Fresh water from the spring, a greenhouse for year-round farming, a herd of goats for milk and meat, a dock and boathouse for transportation and fishing. The island's isolation was its greatest strength. It would take a dedicated search party to find her here, and in the chaos of the apocalypse, no one would be searching for an island in the Gulf of Mexico. She could live here indefinitely, completely cut off from the frozen wasteland the world would become. Clara visited the island for the first time in early May, arriving by seaplane with a team of contractors who were paid handsomely for their discretion. She spent three days walking the property, mapping out the construction sites and ma

Speak To Me

Speak To Me

I asked, feeling bad for the other families that must have thought their loved ones died. He shook his head, “Along the years, some people died due to severe sickness. We had food, but we didn’t have medicine. Not everyone made it back.” He looked down in sadness. “Oh, my goodness,” I spoke with a sad tone. My heart going out to the ones that lost their loved ones. Then I wondered how he was saved, “how were you and those that survived able to be saved?” He smiled and replied, “A plane had saw the massively huge SOS that we had formed on our island, with wood and a clear grass land. It took a long time for help to come, but our prayers were finally answered.”

I love this story. I was not expecting all the twists. Can everyone please have happy ending? It would be nice to see Joe and Chasity either go to college together or get married. After everything that happened they deserve it.

I think the poem is about her dad falling into evil or some gang or mafia and was supposed to kill joe's dad(rich man) but joe's dad was able to turn it against him and he was almost killed now he is here to finish the job and get his revenge maybe even get some torture of his own personal revenge

CEO on the island

CEO on the island

I was shaking, and the tears welled up in my eyes as I glanced at Athena, finding her getting up on her feet with the knife in her grasp. “Ma’am, are you okay?” “Give me that phone!” he shouted before letting out a piercing scream. Athena stabbed him in the shoulder and he dropped the gun to his side. “You missed my head, asshole,” she snickered, then knocked him out with the back of the gun. “Ma’am, are you still on the line?” the operator asked, and Athena rushed towards me, grabbing the phone from my grasp. She continued the call and once she was done; she placed the phone on the island, smiling at me warmly. “Help is on the way,” she reassured me.

Bride To The Island Wolf

Betty stated. Avril looked at her charm bracelet and smiled. Now she realized why Dakar thought her how to fight. She had asked if there was going to be a war and he said you never know. Life itself was war. “How did you survive? Alone on that island?” Betty asked. “Survival of the fittest. I faced the unimaginable. I had to fit myself in with him,” Avril answered and shrugged. “Him?” asked Betty. “Sorry, I meant 'it'. The island itself. I am tired, I have to go and rest,” she said and turned to go.

Bataille De Survie

Bataille De Survie

Mikael sighed then he agreed with me. "Then I'll take the south," Louissa said as she laid on her side of the tent. Mikaela will take the west and Mikael will handle the east. We all agreed with the plan and we all went to bed. Since it's late. The next day, I saw a blue flower in one distance, it's a beautiful blue flower with a few white stripes on its petal. I went towards it and I plucked it out, then I went to Damaria so she can preserve the flower. Since it's for Lionne when we get back.

The Emerald Eyed Luna

The Emerald Eyed Luna

I know, I am antsy Justin and Maverick sat down in either arm chair “There are multiple rouge camps around this pack. Most fairly small, about a dozen or so. They are out scouting for a girl. They were told by someone that she is in the pack but since the last few people who got too close died, they are all staying away at a distance and using binoculars. Rumor was that there is a camp that is now the size of a small pack. This pack supposably is in Florida. Apparently, they use the shipping docks to transport cargo, aka women and children, to a deserted island. That island is where ‘The Savior’ is at. It is off U.S. soil so the laws do not apply to them. I have information that they have co

I loved Wyatt and Nina’s story. The moon goddess gave her a special, powerful ,stronger and better fated mate and partner. I am starting one of your other books now. I was so addicted. Damian and Holly are so wrong for each other, but we shall see how jealous and mean Holly becomes of Nina.

This was short and sweet.. it had plenty of twist and turns, unexpected moments. The main character is strong woman which is refreshing (i personally dislike a female character that spends the entire story crying ) I will definitely reread this story again.

Surviving My Love

Surviving My Love

"Help! Can anyone hear us?" Christine shouted, her hands cupping her mouth. Only the birds in the palm trees flew up in response. She turned to stare at the waves gently lapping at the shore. No sign of any other survivors. Christine sat on the sandy beach, hugging her knees to her body. Chase walked over to her and sat beside her. "You okay?" he asked. She nodded. "I guess." He put an arm around her shoulders and pulled her in for a hug. She placed her head on his shoulder. He wished he could kiss her and tell her everything would be okay, but there were no guarantees.
