This whole day was always going to suck, but seeing my parents like this was almost too much. A curtain has been dropped to cover the platform to make the dinner more intimate, even with a large number of people in here. Each table seated 12 and each family had used every seat. There were 54 round tables covered in dark blue cloth with white roses in the center. We were eating off of gray China with glass drink cups. The flatware is black plated, and I went with a darker gray napkin. I admired what I had pulled off in such a short time. “Can I get a minute?” I ask Finch, who nods quickly.

As soon as he realized, he keep silent for a moment. "Mom. Lets go there that is the table we're assigned at." Angela said helplessly. As soon as Dulce saw the table, who where located at the side of the wall. She frowned. "What the hell?" Our table looks so ordinary while the others are so completely luxurious. "Indeed their table was looks ordinary, a monoblock type table that only wrapped on a white blankets, while the others looks grand and luxurious." "Mom. It's ok, most important thing is we have attended to the party." Angela replied helplessly.

We have 4 8 foot tables just for food, 2 6 foot tables for gifts and 5 8 foot round tables for everyone to sit at. "Okay everyone wrap it up they're going to be here any second" I yell out as I shove the scotch tape I've been using in a nearby drawer. Several minutes later we hear the front door opening and what sounds like Asia arguing with Jack over something dumb as usual. Instead of a single table for two people, there was a large table with seating for a number of people. Her eyes met with the person, who brought her here once to confess his feelings for her. It was the same restaurant where Ryan proposed to her two years ago.

"Your four-person tables look quite large. We could surely squeeze in." The server could only say, "In that case, please discuss it with your friends."

I glanced at her name tag, "Jessica. Nice to see you again. We had a bit of trouble this evening, so I couldn’t make a reservation. Do you think you could help me out?" She fumbled with the list. "Looks like tonight's your lucky night, we just had a no-show for a party of four. I have one table left!" "Perfect, thank you, Jessica." I saw her blush as she handed us two menus and led us to a window-side table. To my amusement, it was a table for two, not four.

"Please take your seats." Maximiliano looked around, analyzing everyone's body language, as well as an inspection of the place in question, realizing that there was nothing on the large table that would indicate that a birthday was about to be celebrated. On the contrary, the table had nothing more than a couple of folders placed at the head of the table, some pens, a pair of glasses to see, some cups and crystal glasses with water, and nothing else.

But as soon as I walked through the door, I saw my friends walking in from the other side. "Hey Muriel" Heedah waved from the other end. "Oh gosh I didn't see that coming" I smiled as I waved back. They walked up to me and we sat together as the waiter came to serve us. "Hey, you mind for anything?" The waiter asked. "Yeah, umm just give me any soft drink" I replied. "Okay, ma'am will be back in a minute" the waiter said. I turned to Victoria who's eyes were fixed in her phone.

Katrina’s POV Near the center of the room, there was a small round table. Two chairs were tucked under it, and a soft cream tablecloth was draped over the top. A single candle sat in the middle, flickering gently and casting little golden lights on the walls. Two plates were already set, with steaming food that smelled amazing. There were even folded napkins and glasses of what looked like sparkling apple juice. It looked like… a date. I turned to him slowly, blinking. “Did you do this?”

She’s mated, married, whatever; I have no business even feigning interest in her. We walk through double doors to the dining room, and it’s a sight to behold. There are circular tables set up all over with six chairs at each table. There’s a long, rectangular table off to the right side of the room. That’s the ranked table, with the members we met already seated. At the back of the room, there are buffet tables set up, but there’s no food on them at the moment. Maybe they are planning ot serve our meal tonight.
