His eyes were focused, almost predatory, as he took in the scene. The man holding me hesitated, his grip loosening just enough. Matthew stepped forward, his body coiled and ready, and in one swift motion, he pulled out a small black baton from behind his pants. He clicked on a button, and it suddenly stretched into a thick metal rod. His fist tightened around it and swung at my first attacker; it collided with his jaw, sending him reeling. I stumbled back as Matthew took on the other men with swift, calculated movements. He moved like a fighter—each swing controlled, each kick aimed to do maximum damage.

He laughed out loud! 'Thanks to my Time Machine I figure this out before it was coming.' He paused. 'But... what is that battle power meant? I could not acknowledge the person from her scent but I am pretty sure I could smell blood. Kevin and I exchange glances. The man shouted that until now I still don't care about its name. I don't know whether to be happy or nervous. Yes, Cayden will be my opponent, he's on my side but at the same time, we're pretending! Will it make our fight come true? Fuck! I admit that it's not inferior to me, with a huge gap. But it's up to Batman. Cayden and I walked toward the ring. I'm fifteen, it's called teenager and I'm one of them." Baxter explained his side and that made one of the boys give him an amused look.

Cailen found the boy in his room, already having stripped to nothing but his socks and playing with his Batman action figure, making it dive off the end of his bed and crash onto the floor. For what reason, Cailen had no idea but then again, who was he to question Batman's motives? "You ready for your bath, love?" Cailen asked, standing in the doorway to Ezekiel's room, trying to appear as though everything was alright even though he felt like throwing something at the moment. Ezekiel turned to him then looked to the floor where Batman laid, face first in the carpet. "Can Batman come?" Ezekiel asked, looking torn between bath time and playing with Batman.
