I stared at the open books spread across the desk in my room, their pages crammed with terms like “Pack Coalition Charter” and “Treaty of the Eastern Packs,” my eyes blurring over with every paragraph. I couldn’t memorize alliances I didn’t understand, and I couldn’t pretend to be Elena much longer, not like this. A soft knock interrupted my spiral and Emma poked her head in. “You got a note.”

"The Little Star That Found Home." Teresa took it, turning it over in her hands. The cover was new, there wasn't a crease or scratch at all. "I don't remember buying this." "You didn't." Emma grinned. "It was already in my room." Teresa looked up. Mrs. Lim's forehead creased. "I've never seen that book before." Emma reached for it again. "Open it." Teresa did. The first page held a short handwritten message in neat black ink.

Cela just smiled. The viewing starts in a few minutes. Everyone gets ready to take their seats. Almost everyone came except for Nate. Good thing, Lora didn’t tell Cela about her invitation. It was supposed to be a surprise for her but fate surely has a different plan for the night. A mix of emotions sweeps the viewers of the TV adaptation of the book. It’s the last of the three in the series and it’s quite different from the first two stories that were carefully planned.

*** When I woke up, Johan was sitting on the edge of the bed, shirtless and smoking. He heard me move and looked back. A check landed on the bed in front of me. I stared at it. He only said a few words. "I'm bored with you." Something inside me cracked. Like porcelain shattering, sharp pieces cut across my heart. Still, my voice came out calm. I even smiled. "I've got less than three months left. Couldn't you wait a little longer?" Johan frowned. "Yara Yelton, you should know your place."

Chapter 48 The Werewolf Realm While Erin reunited with Kate, Zaki, and Kira on the other side of the territory, Levi and Micha remained in their shared study—facing the Living Book. It floated above the table, its ancient golden letters swirling across its surface like flowing fire. "Dearest reader… let us begin," the book hummed, its voice echoing softly through the room. Levi and Micha sat down opposite each other, bracing themselves. Every session with the Living Book revealed something darker than the last.

I find it strange that there are no notes or marked pages. I pick up the second book and am surprised that there are notes, but not in my hand. The handwriting is that of a man and seems old. Curiously, I follow the directions for the hand motions and see a pink smoke illuminating from my hand. Concentrating on a medical terminology book on a shelf, I call it to me, then stop it before it reaches me. “Page 75,” the book opens to the page, and I hear the words in my head. “Stop,” I say, then, “Page 283.” The pages turn, and then I hear the words again. “Stop, go back.” The book goes back to its place on the shelf. Alyssa exclaimed after seeing all the things on a particular page. "What Is it, Alyssa?" Asked Berk worried. "Don't worry Berk everything is going to be fine, let's go," replied Alyssa as she keeps the book on the floor. "Are we done?" Berk asked surprised. "Yes we are," Alyssa replied and they both left the room. As soon as they turned and left the room, the book closes back by itself, and the book cover reads; 'THE BOOK OF SHADOWS' and then the book disappears. . .
