His hand rested lightly on the curve of my waist, grounding and maddening all at once. “I see that our Luna has been training you.” Nolan said, choosing to direct his question to the children who are watching excitedly. “And I can tell if this is how your training is starting, then I'm going to have a stronger league on my line, aren't I?” I tilted my face up, ready to ask what the hell he was doing. I wanted to ask what he was doing, but the smile that was on his face was one that I never saw. Even the children were happy to see him like this.

I extended a hand to him, and shaking my hand, he smirked at me, watching as Natasha took a step back. “Alpha Nathan Kozlov. You really are a man of business. I can see that your place seems to bring in more people with each passing day” he said, looking at Natasha who bit her bottom lip as she smiled. I knew that it disgusted her to act this way, but she also knew her job and duty well, and it was one of the main reasons why she was the ONLY one qualified for this job and no one else.

I'll call him in the morning before they head out for training.” “Are you bringing them home?” Xander asked, referring to the team of 25 warriors Thaddeus sent to Ohio to help train another pack. “No. But they deserve to know I found their Luna.” Thaddeus said, and Xander gave him a soft smile before leaving. Thaddeus looked at the door in front of him and then swallowed before approaching it. Thaddeus slowly opened the door, and the sound of the monitor beeping could be heard instantly.

As we approached, Thaddeus stepped forward from the line. He was a mountain of a man—easily six-foot, with broad shoulders that looked like they could carry the weight of a building. His black T-shirt clung to his muscular frame, tactical pants tucked into heavy boots. A faded slash mark ran from his left cheekbone down to his jawline, a permanent reminder that he’d seen hell and survived it. Dark sunglasses hid his eyes, but even so, his presence was a warning to anyone with bad intentions.
