Ken grunts as he looks down at me. “Call the witch,” he orders, shooting Beta Rich a glare. “Yes, Alpha,” he says. He reaches into his pocket and pulls out his phone. After a few minutes his phone pings. “I’ve messaged her. She’ll be right over,” he informs Ken. Alpha Ken’s attention is back on me. “I hate to leave you here like this pet but something’s come up and I need to go,” he says. “It shouldn’t take me long. But if I don’t come, we can finish this,” he points between the two of us, “tomorrow.”
