I soothed it again. After finishing my food, I returned to my room to rest for a while when I heard the dog barking again. I went outside and saw it still barking at the east room. Today was truly bizarre! I remembered what the villager had said earlier and felt a genuine fear! I quickly pulled out my phone and searched for the news from 20 years ago. What shocked me was that a murder had indeed occurred in this very house! Even more frightening was that it had happened 20 years ago today. A deranged mother had murdered her nine-year-old daughter! The murder was brutal—the mother drove a steel nail into the girl's skull!

After the strange man had gone, I decided to check the name written on the card and I saw Eden Anderson , the CEO of Anderson Inventions , also the Alpha of Redmoon pack and what I had noticed earlier was that he had only one eye and the other was covered by a black patch. It was so strange how so many weird people existed in the world.

If only it worked that way. As my consciousness faded, my soul felt yanked back—to that Halloween night that changed everything. Lights strung like jack-o'-lanterns, crowds surging like a river. I was gripping my little brother Matthew Duncan's hand—warm and soft—terrified that if I let go for even a second, the tide of people would swallow him up. I was so over this crap, I just wanted Charlie back in my arms, it was horrible with her being so far away “You are supposed to be my brother, do you not want to help me?” “It’s not that I don’t want to help, I just think we might be falling into a trap” Kayla comes quickly into the office carrying a large book, she looks flustered as she slams the open book down on the table sending bits of dust everywhere and making me cough. You hear ‘anomaly’ and immediately translate it to ‘impending doom.’” “Because that’s usually how anomalies work!” “Not necessarily!” “Name one time an anomaly was a good thing.” I opened my mouth, then closed it. “…That’s not the point.” “You’re not exactly frazing this positively,” his dry chuckle swiped my ear. I groaned, pacing. “Listen, we’re geting off track. TDLR, I don’t knwo what it is, but I know where we might get answers. There’s a facility in the Alps—highly specialized in rare blood anomalies. I did an internship there in school. They have equipment that could identify whatever this is.”
