Adopted Son Ascends, Bestie Returns From the "Grave"

Adopted Son Ascends, Bestie Returns From the "Grave"

"What the hell? Why is she dumping ashes here? Is she crazy?" "Hey, security! What are you waiting for? Get her out of here before she causes more trouble!" "Did it get on me? If anything bad happens to me because of this, I'm suing!" A chorus of angry shouts filled the air. Just as things were about to get out of hand, the nurse jumped in. "You're disrespecting the deceased! Pick up those ashes with both hands right now! You need to get on your knees and grovel to calm the spirit's anger. Don't bring misfortune on innocent people nearby."

Falling For My Surrogate Mistress

Falling For My Surrogate Mistress

“It’s not over. They were building something bigger. Morrigan was the face—but this… this was the future they wanted. And someone funded it.” Marcus nodded. “And that someone hasn’t surfaced yet.” They arrived back at the safehouse just before dawn. Fiona carried the boy upstairs and tucked him into the spare room bed, brushing his hair back gently. He opened his eyes. “Are you... my mother?” She felt her throat tighten. “No, sweetheart. But I’ll protect you like one.” His eyes closed again. Darwin watched from the doorway. “You think this is the endgame?” Fiona rose, her gaze steady. “No. This was just the first phase. ‘Ascension’ wasn’t just a codeword. It was a promise. Someone’s still ou

"MIDNIGHT'S MARK"

"MIDNIGHT'S MARK"

The scientists called themselves the Ascended. They had spent fifty years modifying their genetics. Enhancing strength, speed, intelligence, lifespan. They were no longer entirely wolf or human or hybrid. They were something new. "We have transcended biological limitations," their leader—a woman named Helix—announced. "We live twice as long. Think twice as fast. We are what evolution would take millennia to create." "You are playing god," River said. "No. We are becoming gods." The Ascended numbered five thousand. All volunteers. All willing to risk death for enhancement.

wounded Heart

wounded Heart

The holographic system hummed to life, projecting a three-dimensional image of Carlos Rodriguez in the center of the room. "If you're seeing this, then I have failed," the projection began, Carlos's familiar commanding presence filling the space. "And you, my family, are now the last line of defense against what's coming." Alex's throat tightened at the sight of his father—so lifelike, yet only a ghost of data and light. "The Ascendance Group has existed in secret for generations," Carlos continued. "Founded by seven visionaries who believed humanity's future required guidance—their guidance. My brother-in-law, Marcel DuPont, provided the scientific breakthrough they needed: targeted genetic

The Rise of the Frost Dragons (Blue Triangle Series #2)

The Rise of the Frost Dragons (Blue Triangle Series #2)

Eli’s Ascendant grew larger, growing arms and head and wings. Arth’s eyes widened amidst the bright light in front of him. He glimpsed a white horse with wide wings. Chills hit his entire body. So this … is the true form of an Ascendant. Elicantris had explained to him that Ascendants were the first beings that existed after the Age of the Empyreal Gods. Their means of passing over their power was through reincarnation to keep their purpose of protecting all life against evil. They had the freedom to choose whom they could be reborn into … whom they could grow old with. Elicantris also said that in every reincarnation of Ascendants, they would lose all their memories about themselves and the

The Day She Stopped Waiting

The Day She Stopped Waiting

Absolutely not. Reasonable honestly. Then the voice returned. Cold. Absolute. "ASCEND." The word hit like a command written into existence itself. Immediately— the remaining structures of the Bastion reformed. Not gently. Violently. Stone pathways reassembled in midair. Broken towers rotated into new positions. A final vertical path formed. A straight ascent into the broken sky. Then the Third Crown pulsed. Truth. The final path led directly to the Throne. Then Cassian moved first.

10 chapters in and I hope it’s second chance book. I love a good “leaving my shitty husband for a better man” plot but sometimes I love a good “I need to get my wife back” plot as well. Sometimes I want to read about how a relationship was pulled back from the brink and I feel this is goi to be it.

Ancestor, Please Let Me Go

Ancestor, Please Let Me Go

"To be honest, I was a bit surprised when I heard that Ji Anling was sold by Bandore but what astounded me the most was Johnny, the second prince of S country was useless at some point. Yet the way Ji Anling was taken away was something that intrigued me the most" The way she spoke resembled the mastermind of a movie who is revealed after the defeat of the final boss walking away smirking evilly. Not only was her manner of speaking suspecting but her posture and attire were also fitting. Donned in black jeans, a white shirt with a black riders jacket over her shoulder and a pair of black sunglasses in her waist-long hair, which spread over her back, her left leg placed over her right leg she

Dark Descendant

Dark Descendant

Asura raised her gaze and watched there, a girl no taller than her, holding that bloody crystal sword with a ghastly maniacal smile. Venus Prahara Adiwangsa, the Princess Bizura; someone who somehow managed to gain the sympathy of the Asura Argantra for a brief moment. “Oh, hi, buddy,” said Venus in a loud voice, as if she had just come for a regular breakfast. “I'm guessing he's your father.” The heartless girl chuckled. “Don't be so sad. A father isn't someone very special, you know.” Asura's chest heaved with anger and sadness. Hatred blazed in her eyes. She gritted her teeth and growled, “I'm really going to kill you, bastard!”

She paused for a moment before saying, "Is that okay with everyone?" Voices of consent rang into her ears and she nodded, forgetting that they couldn't see her before continuing. "The Asura Tower is one of the most protected and strongest fort. It has a higher advantage over us in terms of players since they will be on the defense. Most of their vanguards are knights are VIP 5 players. It won't be that hard for them to get rid of us if we don't play with a different technique. So, no rush. We will chew them out from their lowest force defense. The attic. They won't be expecting such approach if we're quick enough, we should be able to annex half of the tower in thirty minutes –"
