Jade: The Hybrid Mage
I screamed, thrashing against the pull, but the more I struggled, the deeper I sank—until the goo swallowed me whole.
Before I could make sense of what was happening, the goo spat me out onto another surface—this one drier, warmer. I coughed and gasped for air, shuddering as I lay on what felt like a heaving, living mass.
The ground beneath me pulsed faintly, like the shallow breath of some giant creature. Around me, faint purple glows slithered through the darkness—wormlike things, fat and slimy, moving lazily across the surface. Their dim light revealed what I wished I hadn’t seen: walls slick with rot and decay, glistening as if coated in blood.
