Luca pointed triumphantly toward the kitchen as he dishes out the soup. “Exactly why I cooked.” “Well…” I lifted the takeaway bag slightly. “Leo already bought snacks.” Luca groaned dramatically. “Traitor. I spent an hour cooking for you people.” I laughed softly. “Relax. Even if I eat both, I’ll still have a chasm left.” Luca looked at me like I was crazy. “That’s honestly terrifying chica but flattering as well to the chef.”

I knew being with him would endanger my life, but I did not care. I ate two well-done steaks, and I enjoyed them. The creamy mashed potatoes were a bonus. We had pudding for dessert, and it was delicious. I marvelled at how quickly the kitchen staff could come up with so much food in a short time, and it wasn't lunchtime yet. You’re trying to waste my time by giving excuses and rendering fake apologies, so Luca has the time to finish up the ice-cream. That’s not going to work,” I said, firmly.

Our fancy dinners involved checking food for poison." "Speaking of which—" Luca reaches over and spears a piece of food from my plate with his fork, popping it in his mouth. "Tastes fine. You're good to eat." I give him a look that would make most people shut up. Luca just grins wider. "What? I'm your official food taster now. Gotta make sure nobody's trying to poison you while you're in enemy territory." He winks at Marco. "No offense."

I scoffed and rolled my eyes. “It’s fine,” Luca whispered in my ear as he entered the room again, “Let them be.” He chuckled, “Lucy’s always been overprotective like that.” He was in the kitchen. Out of all four of us, he’s the only one who can cook and do all the kitchen work properly. “Fine,” I folded my arms, “I don’t care.” He chuckled again and I glared at him, “Why are you laughing?” “Because you do care.” He sat down next to me, “Your bff has been stolen.”

I unclasped my bra and tossed it aside. I was completely naked underneath his shirt. I walked back out into the bedroom, I stood by the foot of the bed, waiting. A moment later, the door handle turned. "Chef says twenty minutes, he's making..." Luca walked in, his eyes on his phone. He looked up, and the words died in his throat. His phone lowered slowly to his side, his gaze swept over me, starting at my bare feet, traveling up my exposed legs, and landing on the oversized black t-shirt that draped over my frame.
