Romans & histoires The Beast Within Chapter 1

The beast turned, latching onto my tail and hurling me against a tree. “She's weakening us, you foolish alpha!” the beast taunted, its fangs revealing a wicked smile. “You're becoming pathetic.” “Silence, beast! I'm not the one in a cage!” I growled back, revealing my claws and circling them. “What's your plan with this?” “Get rid of the human, deliver her to the shadows!” the beast roared, advancing again and tearing into my abdomen with sharp claws, a cry of pain escaping my lips. I bit its neck, tasting the decaying flesh that permeated everything under that curse.

A world without monsters. And yet, I had brought her into this one. I closed my eyes and took a slow breath. But then… something snapped inside me. Suddenly, my heart started beating too fast. My blood began to boil. My chest was burning. My head was pounding. No. Not now. Not here. I stood up quickly. I looked at my hands. They were shaking. I felt it. The beast. It was waking up. My vision went dark. My eyes turned completely black. Even the whites were gone. Just black. All black.

another one hissed, sounding just as evil as the first male, "we are waiting for you, beautiful, just come home, don't let us be the ones to bring you back where you belong." Closing the door behind me, I let out a long puff of air, feeling like I was drawing in my first draft of air after holding my breath for too long. I could finally breathe, but my heart was still pacing abnormally. When I reached my room and sat on my bed, it dawned on me like a bucket of ice cold water: I had witnessed the impossible, a supernatural phenomenon unfolded right before my eyes. My mother is married to a Beast, not a human being, and I do not think she knows it.

Are you kidding? - Yes, what kind of jokes can there be, buddy? You can't even imagine how frightened I was of what began to happen to you. I will never forget this now. - I do not understand. I do not understand anything. It should not be! After the bite of the Beast, the Hunter does not survive! Whereas? Panic and absolute incomprehension of what was happening were reflected on his face. - It can't be that I became the Beast. I'm a Hunter! Hunter motherfucking! Black exclaimed angrily. Anger began to rise somewhere inside again: long claws began to appear on his hands, and John felt his fangs lengthen, his eyes blazed with blue fire.

I cry as I force my body to crawl forward. His skin is as pale as theirs, so I know they sucked him dry, but I still have to check. If there is any way he is still alive, I have to try...I get inches from him, but just as my fingers reach for him, I am yanked up into a set of thick furry arms. "Stupid humans," a deep, gravely voice growls, and before I can even respond, the beast takes off. His long paws pummel the ground, and the forest zips past me. Motion sickness mixed with my grief turns my stomach, and I vomit instantly. He snarls as my puke hits his pelt, but he doesn't slow down.

I felt the magic of the moment wash over me, and I knew that this was truly the beginning of a new chapter in my life. The chanting grew louder, reaching a crescendo as the elders raised their heads to the moon. And then, as one, we all howled to the sky. The sound was deafening, a symphony of power and strength that echoed through the forest. I felt the transformation begin, my body shifting and contorting as my beast form emerged. I let out a growl of excitement, reveling in the power of my beast. The elders stepped back, allowing me to stand in the center of the circle, the new king of the pack.

Anything would have been better than the constant torment and torture my body was going through. But then the cavern grew even brighter than before, and I wanted to curse the Goddess for what she was putting me through. Killian glanced up before backing away slowly, and I let out a whimper at the distance. I couldn't tell if it was horror or awe in his wide eyes. The glowing red of his beast was focused on the Earth around me, and I began to convulse. My mind was under attack as I felt my wolf fighting for control against the unknown creature inside me.

She said regretfully “The Alpha was very insistent that he be informed the moment you woke up. He’s throwing a feast for you.” I blinked “A feast?” Annalise nodded. Before I could say anything else, she was up and out of my room, likely to deliver the said news of my return to consciousness. I dragged myself out of bed to make myself more presentable. The inside of my mouth felt stale and my limbs twinged when I started to use them again but aside that, I was fine. I tried not to think of the fact that I’d turned into a beast and killed two men without blinking. It would shatter my fragile sense of self right now and I so needed to feel like myself again.

"And where do you think you're going?" A voice said behind them and they turned. It was Charles and some other guys. There was this dangerous aura around him as he fixed his eyes on the trio. "You have to watch out for the demons. They'll be after you now that your identity has been revealed and they'll try to kill more humans than before to bring back the war beast as soon as possible..." Priestess Luciana's words rang a bell in Ashley's ears. Moving a step forward, she said, "What now? What do you want huh?". A smirk appeared on her lips as she questioned the confident looking Charles.

The Beast. He was surprised to say the least, that Professor Ridley-Forrester was a young, Asian woman. She was about as intimidating as a butterfly. Had his brother been joking about her reputation? Sure, he’ll admit that the woman possessed great self-defense skills but nothing about her screamed evil bitch. Evan decided to introduce himself. Without another thought, he strolled onto the mat, stopping in front of the petite woman.
