"I know it hurts, but you'll be better soon." She was back in the warm spot of Forest man's chest, the steady thump of his heart easing some of her fear and discomfort. She still couldn't seem to crack her eyes open. She had taken plenty of beatings in combat class with her siblings, but there was always a healer on hand to mitigate the worst of the damage. This was the worst pain she had ever been in, several parts of her body grinding and grating in ways that made her sure she was broken.

I continued to space myself out, as he continued asking what I wanted to do, with fear in his voice. I stroked the small blade, cutting myself. He couldn't see me, so he continued to plead, fear now evident in his voice. I raised the blade, ready for a point between his ribs to place the next one. Training my eyes, I prepared the blade for takeoff whilst he screamed in anticipation. Deciding against it, I repositioned the blade safely in my hand, walking towards him again. I stood behind him this time, plotting the skin.

His blade wasn't going to make it. "RAAAAH!" The giant Vampire emit a ferocious roar mustering all the strength that remained forcing his blade to carve it's way through the creature. He felt as though he were lining up on a football field trying to force back an entire squad of linebackers alone.... The bright side, he happened to be stronger than a squad of linebackers. Though it took almost everything he had his blade finally cut through the monstrous flower. The upper half listed to the side club still hefted over head as it fell.

Blade's boots collided with my rip, the force turned me over, causing me to land on my back, gasping for air and desperately trying to catch my breath while my trembling fingers tried to grip the tile, slippery from my blood. Unable to fully open my eyes due to the excruciating pain, I could only watch blurrily in horror as Mr. Blade stood above me with his hands to his side as they shifted into claws, his nails becoming longer and sharper. His eyes flashed with hatred, and then he lunged for me once more, dropping to his knees as his hand grabbed the left side of my chest, and I could feel his claws tearing through my skin and cracking through my ribcage. ‘Damn it...’ I thought as pain fill

He activated the spiritual energy within him, gathering it on his Thunder Blade. The Thunder Blade gleamed with a cold light, and a crimson hue appeared on the blade. "Crazy Blade Strike!" A sharp and fierce blood-red blade light cut through the air, flashing through the moonlit woods. Just as the blade light was about to touch Sebastian's body, a semi-transparent shield appeared in front of him. Clang! When the blade light struck the shield, the shield dissipated, and the blade light was also neutralized. Sebastian was unharmed, showing no signs of damage.

The man's daughter, tiptoed as he bent over for her to reach Axe, her small fingers reaching out to touch Axe's bruised arm, whispered, "It's okay, mister. Papa will take care of you." ‘I came here to find a kid to raise into an indomitable bodyguard that will be loyal to you for life, and yet you chose such a weakling and useless thing?’ Chairman Blade thought, staring down at Axe and then at the worried way his daughter glanced at him, her tiny hand holding onto hid dirty ones as tears trickled down her peachy cheeks.

I backed away, forced to retreat to the balcony. He stared at my arm, wanting nothing more than to slice it off. When I saw the menacing look in his eyes, I couldn't help wondering where things had gone wrong. This wasn't right. None of this was right! Why had my death been brought forward? Why couldn't I change the outcome? If I had the chance to do this again, I wouldn't make the same mistake!

I told them about the incident with the blade. As I pulled the blade to show them, my breath hitched. A sickening realization settled over me—the blade had begun to decay, its once-impenetrable metal now chipped where our blood had mingled. The sharp edge had dulled, the intricate engravings that once pulsed with power were now barely visible beneath the damaged metal. It was as if the weapon itself had been tainted, consumed by the impossibility of what had touched it.

A glint of metal caught the light as Spencer produced a sharp blade. “You’re going to regret ever crossing my family,” Spencer vowed, his voice devoid of emotion. With a swift motion, Spencer’s men pinned Chase’s legs to the floor. Chase screamed as Spencer raised the blade, his eyes fixed on the gleaming metal. The blade descended, slicing through fabric and flesh with ease. Chase’s screams turned to agonized wails as his legs were cut off from the knees, blood gushing from the wounds. Spencer stood back, his eyes never leaving Chase’s contorted face.

Everything tonight was heavier than it should be. I unwrapped it slowly, layer by painfully layer. Like peeling back skin. And then, I saw it. “A blade.” It wasn’t large, not ornate but wrong. The metal didn’t catch the light. It swallowed it. It was alive in a way steel should never be.
