The Book Place Novels & Stories

As I perused the books, I could feel Aidan’s gaze on me. The shop, much like the one downstairs, boasted an impressive selection. These were books to be enjoyed in the coffee lounge, not purchased or taken home. A smile tugged at my lips as I reached the romance novel section. So, Well Thumbed had these too. I wondered if they had hidden gems, perhaps something I hadn’t read or that Uncle Alex’s book club, Bound To Please, hadn’t discovered yet.

It was not long before she was at her favorite bookstore. Entering the quaint bookstore on the corner, Kayla breathed in the familiar scent of paper and ink. The shelves were lined with rows upon rows of books, their colorful spines beckoning to her like old friends. She meandered through the aisles, trailing her fingers along the bindings, searching for the perfect escape from reality.

"Book club." "Where?" "The community center on Maple Street." I groaned. "You've got to be kidding me." "I'm not." "Dean, I'm not interested in sitting around with a bunch of strangers talking about books I haven't read." "Then maybe you should have read them," he countered, still not looking at me. I wanted to reach forward and smack the phone out of his hand. Instead, I just sank lower in my seat and glared at the back of his head.

Nicholas asked. “Sure,” The waitress said with a smile. “Let me check our system. If we have it, I can tell you where it is placed.” She asked with a smile, “Can you please tell me the name of the book?” She answered, “There it is. Please check shelf number four and book number 301B.” Nicholas went to check the shelf but there was no book. He found other books of the same genre there before. He had checked this shelf before too but he had not found anything here.

He needs to preserve who he is – a story – something that will always be remembered, something that someone rarely forgets. Next to the hotel where he spent the nights with Daniel multiple times is a mall. Inside it, of course, were bookstores. He goes inside and heads towards the nearest available ‘Booksale’ boutique and scans among the wide array of pre-loved books which are still good for any collection. He bumps into a girl holding an orange paperback novel seemingly invested in its plot, ‘The Darkest Minds’ the book cover reads. “Hey,” he tapped the girl’s shoulder. “Hmm?” the girl looks in his direction, she has a short hair, rounded face, and a cheeky smile.

As the bus opened the door, people entered there but when we entered I was just surprised when we arrived at another place immediately. A strange and unfamiliar place opened up to me. It's a place full of books. The surroundings were a bit dark but for some inexplicable reason, just a flick of Saint's hand lit every candle inside the huge library. Gold is the interior of the whole library I can hardly see the end of the books at its height. Apart from the book, there is only one table in the middle here with black envelopes, some paper, a golden white feather and a blank book on top. This place just reminds me of the children book that I was reading way back highschool. It was entitled The C
