Anthony All Busy Whitmore and finally hand him the blessed signed contract and he assured me that as soon as he authenticated everything that was needed he would send me a copy, I just nodded and went home determined to eat something that would stay in my stomach. After he gave me back the copy of the contract, our "relationship" basically boiled down to him calling me once a day just to drop a question that was really starting to annoy me, "Are you okay? And I, being the good person that I was, was trying very hard not to answer him as sarcastically as I would like to, instead taking a deep breath and saying that I was fine despite the nausea that didn't seem to want to leave me alone.

Max gasped staring wide at me. “Yeah, man, I lifted my coffee cup to my lips and took a sip. The hot liquid did nothing for the sadness I was feeling inside. Maybe I should have ordered something stronger. “What happened?” I hesitated to answer when the young waiter appeared beside our table to take his lunch order. Alone again, I spoke. “I think she is in love with her boss.” “You don’t believe that,” Max said causally. I didn’t say anything cause I don’t know what to believe anymore. Why is she marrying him? Is it just to get back at me for not divorcing Lily. I thought she of all people would understand why.

They made it seem like I was just another gold digger, using Daniel for his money. I wanted to scream at the world that I was doing this for myself, that I wasn't some money-hungry woman. "I still don't get it. You were only married by contract, and I'm sure your mother did this because she didn't approve of your marriage. Shouldn't you be happy when she asks for a divorce? Especially since you can replace her with a famous model. What's got you down?" "I wasn't depressed, it's just that I felt bad for not listening to her explanation then. She even cried and said she never cheated on me. In fact, I was the first man to ever touch her. That's why my feelings are all over the place right now. Everything that had gone on since we arrived here was all because of responsibility and our new rule in the contract binding our new lives. Once we get back, we would go back to what took most of our time. Anthony was a workaholic; he was probably going to bury himself in work while I did the same.
