Departure in Despair

Departure in Despair

When the System found me once again, I was celebrating my birthday alone. "Confirming egress from this world. Seven days until the portal opens." I nodded quietly, then grabbed a piece of cake and stuffed it into my mouth. The poor-quality cream tasted awful, but when I remembered that this was my last birthday cake in this world, I swallowed it without complaint. Before I could even put my hand down, the door to my room was violently kicked open. My older brother, Blake Rivers, saw me crouching on the floor. Disdain filled his eyes.

Spiraling Down

Spiraling Down

Allison’s sharp voice rang in my ears. “Eric, are you crazy? How dare you push him in front of everyone?” As she spoke, Allison hurried over to pull Aaron out of the fountain, but he floundered in the icy water for quite a while without getting up. It was winter, and the fountain water was freezing. Aaron sneezed several times, his carefully styled hair now soaked and disheveled. He looked utterly miserable. Some colleagues even pulled out their phones and started taking pictures.

Unveiling the Depths of Desire

Unveiling the Depths of Desire

My eyes remained on the floor and nodded. The elevator continued its ascent, the silence between us becoming more uncomfortable with each passing second. The elevator doors opened, revealing the corridor leading to Isaac's office. As we stepped out, his secretary followed closely behind him. Isaac's steps on the white marbled tiles were precise and professional. The room was quiet, with only the sound of his shoes breaking the silence. His calculated stride showed his careful approach and attention to detail. I quietly followed their footsteps from behind—trying hard not to make a sound. I want to formally give Isaac the papers and explain the other ideas that I came up with.

The Decadence of The Fallen

The Decadence of The Fallen

I didn't know why but out of all the boys in school, my heart decided to fall for The Decadence of The Fallen's "Ice Prince" and lead vocalist. A nobody falling for the most popular boy in school had to be the greatest cliché of the century. A sort of cosmic joke that the universe decided to play on a mere mortal like me. And everyone in the whole universe seems to be laughing but me...

The Falling Game

The Falling Game

Jules smiled and gestured me to go. As I walk my thoughts fly again. I also plan to visit mom in the hospital today because I’m sure her surgery is over. I quickly got to the locker room and quickly searched for my number. "2405, 2406, 2407,2408! Gotcha!" I smiled as I opened my locker but stopped suddenly when I saw an envelope in it. My hands shakingly reached for it. I open the letter wide-eyed. Good day Oxians! You are one of a lucky person invited to participate in a FALLING GAME.

Dark Descendant

Dark Descendant

Even if other Fire volts try to open it but they are not descendants of the Jivosaa family, then they will fail. Seconds later after Aven activated the pin, the floor in front of him slid open in a two-by-two meter square. A descending staircase was visible from above, leading down to the dark underground. Aven carried Asura back on his back, gritting his teeth as the pain in his wound was like biting bone. The man then descended, while the secret door slowly closed again automatically.

The Descendants - Rise of the Reaper Army

The Descendants - Rise of the Reaper Army

It was about to begin. As he took his first step out onto the snow, anger rushed through Aurora’s body like a wild fire. The demon had taken everything from her and now he was in her world. Searing heat spread through her veins - more than determination, more than resolve. It was power. Her pupils dilated and her eyes became completely red as the force of generations of Scythian warriors and strigoi rushed through her. She was the chosen one, the first descendant. It was time to fight. She threw back her head, opened her arms, and called upon the ravens of the forest. Immediately hundreds of blackbirds rose from the branches casting a dark shadow out across the field. Aurora watched anxiousl

She puts her leg on top of him and presses it on his back hard and he screams louder. “You see boy! I am not going to make the mistake of leaving you live and breathing this time because another human might come and save you like what my stupid descendant there.” She shoots a fireball on the beast and he awakens, “But before I kill you both, I will make you catch a glimpse of what is to befall these pathetic humans, I do not know why that disgraceful descendant of mine desires to fight for a world that has never loved her, even those people there holding weapons in their hands did not help!”

The Moon's Descendant

The Moon's Descendant

“Not all chosen descendants can wield the powers of the Moon, only a select few throughout time have been blessed with the gifts. The powers have been known to include, but are not limited to; Telekinesis, the power to move objects with the mind. Hydrokinesis, the power to move water and manipulate the tides. Aerokinesis, the power to manipulate air and weather. Shape shifting, the power to morph oneself into another form. Gravitokinesis, the power to manipulate gravity” “Mum. Are for real with this?” I said closing the book. “I absolutely am” she said snatching the book from me, “Come sit, sit” she said ushering us to the sofa. Mum sat down on the coffee table in front of us and leaned in c

The story is really good! The writer seemed to be learning how to tell the story from two perspectives. At first the author rewrote whole scenes but listened to readers and adapted it a little better. Still some time jump with perspective changes. Zelena has so many powers it seems a lil contrived.

Valerie's Descent

Valerie's Descent

She rocked her head back and forth, her whole body one tight cord of pleasure as her screams filled the room. As soon as it was over, she collapsed back onto the floor, her chest rising and falling with her heavy breathing. As she glanced over at the recliners, she noticed Damien smirking at her while Nick merely leered. The look on his face, however, made her shudder again, the fire still burning between her legs.
