THE NIGHT WILL TELL
I wonder if that old man survived it, I wonder if he's still alive or in a coma.
Pictures of the incident keeps flashing in my head. I just can't get it out ever since I saw it. The screams, the face of the old man, the blood that splattered all over the road, the damaged car, the feeling I got when I first turned to look at it, all of it is coming back. I just want it to go, and want to make it stop, but I can't, so I thought of doing something, something that can distract me and help me to stop recalling the incident over and over again.
I grab my phone and I play an endless runner game. I hear a single knock on my door, “Come in mom,” I say and she opens the door and walks in.
