Layla jumped off her bed and yelled for her Mommy. Avery rushed into her daughter's room with a medical kit in hand. Her hair was a mess. "Go to your brother's room, Layla," instructed Avery. She felt Shea and realized that the fever was bad. Layla nodded. Her eyes were filled with worry, "Mommy, did Shea catch a cold? Do I turn off the aircond?" Avery answered, "There are many ways to catch a fever. I don't think she caught a cold." The temperature in the room was fine, so there was no way she could have gotten sick that way.

The next morning, Micheal had woken up with little memories of what he had done the previous day and to a high fever. He slumped back on the bed, jamming his fingers through his hair as he wheezed in his horrible state and exclaimed in bitter annoyance, "Fvck! Why do I have a fever?"

I am a little shocked to hear that. “Really?” I ask just as a wave of warmth hits my body. “Yes, really. Are you feeling okay? you sound strange.” “Uhm, actually no. I think I have a really bad fever, I feel so warm, not even a cold shower helped. I feel kind I am burning up.” “I am on my way.” When the mindlink closes I feel Moon being restless I ask her what’s wrong. “We are going into heat sweetie. We need our mate.”

Alex was stunned. "A-Angelina, you have a fever!" screeched Alex while checking Angelina's body temperature. 'Shit!' Alex thought. "Wait here, I'll get some water to compress." Alex immediately ran out of the room. Angelina was confused. Fever? Raising her hand, Angelina touched her forehead and she was as surprised as Alex was. "Why do I have a fever? What's wrong with me?" Angelina wondered. "Is it because I took a cold shower earlier?"

The memory of Keegan's fever last year came to her mind. It was early autumn, and the sudden weather change had caused Keegan to fall ill. His feverish state had awakened her in the middle of the night. When she turned on the light, she was greeted with the sight of a red-faced Keegan with cracked lips. Feeling irritated, he grumbled at her for turning on the light. He was not aware that he had a fever. Stella got out of bed and retrieved a thermometer, only to find that Keegan's temperature was almost 39 degrees. She wanted to take him to the hospital, but Keegan vehemently refused, sparking an argument between the two.

I murmured, the words heavy with pain. “It was… it was like he was slipping away, and I couldn’t do anything. I don’t understand what happened. It was just a hug, and suddenly, he was calm.” Caleb’s gaze softened, a gentle smile tugging at his lips. “Isn’t it clear?” he said. “He misses his mother. It’s what suddenly triggered the fever.” I blinked, his words sinking in. “The fever was because… he missed me?”

Since when did this CEO know so much about medicine? Before I could think of a response, Nurse Martha stepped in smoothly. “Mr. Robinson, a 38°C fever is low-grade. Medically, fevers are classified by severity. Anything under 38 is usually treated with physical methods. Antibiotics have side effects—not just for children but also for adults with weaker constitutions.” I shot Martha a grateful look. A+ explanation. That should shut him up. But Everett didn’t look convinced. “You said Scarlett is generally healthy, didn’t you?” His gaze sharpened.

"What did you do?" "Keane bullied me, I kicked him, just..." Jasper felt wronged and tried to speak again, "Dear, my fever doesn’t seem to be subsiding." Summer raised her hand and touched her forehead, then touched his body again. His body temperature was very hot, he was really feverish.

Her fever soared to 40°C, and she was not clear-headed. She felt as if there was a fire burning inside her, and she could not tell if the fever caused it or if it was her body's discomfort.
