I nod and prepare for the worst. They forcefully break the door, and I flinch in fright. Everything is dark, but with my wolf vision, I can see clearly. Then a vampire enters with red eyes, intense black hair, and very pale skin. "We meet again, Jane," the vampire says with a warm but fake smile. "You," I whisper, petrified.

“We’ve been vampires since March twelfth 1753.” “T-that would make you—“ “Nearly three hundred years old, give or take,” Paul finishes for me. I’m still shaking but I don’t fight when Ivan takes my hand and leads me back to the table. I sit down, feeling like any moment I could throw up with all this information swirling in my brain. “How is this possible?” I whisper. “Witches created the first vampires. From there we spread through the planet like a plague. We’re not much different than humans in that aspect,” Paul chuckles but I don’t find his joke funny.

Xhagreb asked, one of the male angels, an old man around 2000 years old, who was guiding the little angels, his face was wrinkled but it was smooth and white as snow. The book says that the first vampire was an Italian man named Ambrogio, this one was cursed by Apollo himself. Since Apollo was enraged by the fact that Ambrogio did come to his temple and take one of his maidens away. Not just any simple maiden, but the one Apollo has grown to like on, the beautiful Selene herself. As a result, Apollo cursed Ambrogio and made him weak and vulnerable against the sun. Yet Ambrogio did not cower up and went on to make a deal with Hades and mess with the underworld.
