From the shadows, they rose. The first golem scraped its way upright, its body a patchwork of stone and rusted armor, stitched together with glowing lines of runes. Two more followed, each taller than Caelum, each exhaling the heavy stink of old Everley magic. Their eyes weren’t eyes at all but hollow sockets burning with white fire. They didn’t move like lumbering constructs; they stalked, deliberate and precise, as if the Trial had given them a single command: break the heirs.

The smoke-face of the Devourer hovered in the air, then shot toward the Stone Golem. "With this body, I do not need to hide!" The smoke seeped into the magma fissures in the golem’s chest. The golem looked up, letting out a roar that vibrated even more intensely. The magma cracks in its body widened, radiating a searing heat. Now it was controlled directly by the Devourer. "Everyone, fall back!" the High Priestess ordered. But Siron didn't move. He stood between the unconscious Gideon and the injured Stefan, facing the giant golem. In his mind, he heard Morat and Lyra arguing rapidly.

The mage then raised his staff once more and said strange words into the air. Dorin's eyes widen as he recognized the words. "A summoning spell!" he gasped. The ground around them shook as golems with flaming eyes emerged from the earth. They rushed at Dorin, their rocky arms outstretched, trying to catch him in their deadly grip. Dorin glided in the air, his lightning dancing around him, striking at the golems whose chunks fell and returned to the earth, but even without limbs, they continue to chase him, standing on top of the other to reach his height.

Its eyes glowed with a menacing light, ready to challenge anyone who dared to approach the elemental stones. Amelia stepped forward, her hands trembling slightly. She took a deep breath, harnessing the fire within her, and summoned a flame in her palm. The golem's gaze shifted towards her, its stone body creaking as it prepared for battle. The ground shook as the golem charged, its massive fists aimed at Amelia. With agility and quick reflexes, she evaded its strikes, her flames leaving trails of heat in the air. "Take this!"
