She only gave the command. Luna Cynthia threw up when she saw so much blood oozing from her neck. What had she done? What has she become? She was not supposed to kill her. That was the plan. Now, who is going to fix their werewolf power?She couldn't take it anymore. She crawled to the corner of the room where she sat and started crying to herself.

“She told me that Collin was alive, she said that the reason why I can’t feel him as that the baby’s power is shadowing everything.” Katherine could not understand, how can a six weeks old child be as powerful as the witch said? “I don’t understand Mercy, what does that suppose to mean?” she asked genuinely confused. “The child is a hybrid Luna, one that is half-demon and half-wolf because when it was conceived the demon was still in control as well.” The news shocked Katherine to a point that she looked around to see if someone could hear them. Fortunately, there was no one in sight.

It seemed she was struggling against the urge to be submissive like any omega would be when they're in front of their Luna. "Why this town?" The Luna asked. Like her first question, this one was also meant for the both of them. "Do you know her from somewhere?" The half-blood asked the girl, placing a protective hand over her shoulders. She seemed flustered as she answered, "yeah, a little bit." The Luna was still fighting to regain her full composure. At least, her guard would attribute her shock to seeing Nick's former lover, which, in truth, was not the reason for the turmoil inside her now.

Smiling Mason laughed, "How can I possibly be the host of the evening without my hostess?" "Hostess?" Danica squeaked out as Mason reached an arm around her waist. "Yup," Smiling he began leading her into the crowd. As they passed group after group of people Danica couldn't help but feel people's questioning gazes on her. Of course they would be curious after all she was cuddled up to their Alpha. She couldn't help but find herself wondering exactly what their reaction would be once they found out that she was their future Luna. Would they be upset by the notion? Would they easily accept her? What if they were to find out that she isn't able to change? Would they want a Luna like that?

The salty air is thick and heavy. I would much rather be lounging on the spectacularly white beach, my toes buried deep in the warm, dry sand, the cool, invigorating spray from the ocean misting on my skin. But I am here. Working. I’m always working. It’s the only thing that keeps me sane. “What about the second daughter?” Weiland asks, lowering his voice slightly. “Leila?” “Apparently, she’s not of divine blood. The mother, the former Luna, had a bit of a thing for Omegas. Sick, twisted shit.” I don’t usually gossip, especially about the tower wolves, but this one is too juicy, too dark, to just let it go.

If I had my way, I would hide my Luna inside the room till they left. His wife too…this slut! Why was she staring at my wife's boobs like that? I could swear I saw her licking her lips. I would make sure that Landon and his wife would take the room at the far end of the pack. These days my Luna had been acting so strange, I did not need people tempting her and giving her mother watering offers. “So tell me, Nicholas. What have you been giving to our Luna, she looks so shiny and plump! I like what I'm seeing,” Riley asked me.

Instead of a bar, Luna Elaine had a mini library with two reclining lounge chairs with side tables and a round center table. The former Luna loves reading. She has a collection of historical books on everything supernatural and other genres, too. She also has a mysterious shelf of unmarked books no one dared touch. They were the only ones kept inside a sliding glass enclosure with locks. It always piqued my interest, but I had to respect the rules of the house. The former Alpha and Luna busied themselves traveling abroad after successfully handing the pack over to Nathan at age 22. But they make sure to return every year for the celebration of the Summer solstice.

Dodging her sharp claws proved tricky, and soon, blood began trickling down my arms. I meant to scream, but strangely, my voice deserted me, leaving me silently staring at the wicked witch. I don’t want to amuse her with my pain, A smirk played on her face as her ghostly claws, now tangible with my blood, grew sharper. What on earth was happening? Is she taking a solid form? “Ah, you have seen my trick. You see, any Luna I kill will make me solid for a month and then be a ghost again. It's a never-ending cycle.” Santana chuckled, “I can easily kill whoever I want, but Luna’s blood is much purer and stronger.”

They drove for hours, the roads narrowing, climbing, the trees growing thicker and older the higher they went. Sera watched the landscape change, and found herself thinking, unwillingly, of the forest around Blackthorn territory, of the last time she had been driven away from everything she knew in the dark.
