THE HANGOVER I woke up feeling like my head was going to tear and my brain would fall out, my throat felt dry because of the amount of alcohol I had consumed. I picked myself up from where I lay on the floor, picked up my phone from where I had thrown it and went out of the room, it wasn't mine, it was the room I had told myself never to enter again but from time to time I keep finding myself in there, it was the room I and Fiona shared, until she ruined everything.

OLIVIA Hangover is a bitch and I’m never drinking again. By the time I made it up the stairs last night and into my bed, I blacked out. I woke up in the middle of the night throwing up. Sweet Sharlene held my hair though and cleaned me up when I was done. When I woke up in the morning, I felt dead. My eyelids were heavy and they hurt a lot. The sun streaming into the room didn’t even help. Luckily there was aspirin and a bottle of water waiting by the side of my bed. I made a mental note to thank Sharlene later for it.

You downed that wine last night.” “I drank just as much as you, thank you.” “Yep, and ever since a certain somebody came into our lives, you’ve become a total light-weight.” He gave her a poke. “Say it and I’m out of this car in two seconds flat.” Emily put all of her might into a dramatic sigh, one that would have given the local repertory club a run for its money. “Okay. Maybe I have a little bit of a hangover.”

Hangover remedy. Hugh felt a little uncomfortable when he saw the flask sitting in the car’s front passenger seat. He said, “Of course it’s a secret recipe. Only Holly knew it. After she died, I thought I would never drink it again in this lifetime.” Chris froze for a moment. The hangover remedy had indeed been something his mother taught him to make. He had never expected his uncle to have drunk it before, or to know it was his mother’s secret recipe.

The house was so quiet she could hear the splash as he urinated and then the machine gun rattling of the shower.

I do not say another word or look at him as I leave the room and head down the hallway to mine. Two hours later, after a long hot bath and lots of vomiting, I am finally curled up in my bed, rewatching the Gilmore Girls series for the twenty-fifth time, when I hear a small knock coming from my door. To find Charity, Taylor, and Emma standing on the other side of the doorway, each holding an iced latte with an extra for me. "Oh, thank god, coffee, I have the worst hangover," I say as I eagerly grab the cup from Taylor's hand.

This is so frustrating. We see on a different section of the screen, one pointed directly at the bar, Lydia takes a cigarette and her lighter out of her bag an hour and a half after her shift starts "Right on Lydia, first break."
