Natalie's POV I left the kitchen, and strutted toward the living room. The third maid was there, still skidding nervously across the tiles like a trapped rat. The moment her eyes caught mine, she froze mid-step and dropped her gaze, fiddling with her fingers as if that could make her invisible. I arched a brow. “What’s wrong with you?” I asked, my tone deliberately bored, as though I hadn’t just cornered her sisters with a knife.

The maids bowed to her and made to clear the table. "Mother would have loved the food they serve here. It's so different but tasty. I wonder what part of the county I am." She thought to herself. She wanted to go outside and take a look but she was stopped by the maids. She remembered Killian's words. Disappointed, she walked back to her room and sat on the couch.
