Novel & Cerita The Hunting Party

Anastasia shook my shoulders lightly. I quickly forced a smile rubbing my palms nervously . “Huh? Oh — yes. Yes, I am. I’m just… fascinated. It’s my first time hearing about it, you know.” “It’s going to be such a fun night!” she squealed. “You should be excited. It’ll help your wolf. And after that… there’s the Hunt. That’s the best part.” “The Hunt?Tell me more about this hunt …” I repeated carefully. “After the midnight horn, we’re scattered in groups to find the horns. It’s the ultimate search. We can be out there until dawn. It’s super competitive. And the winning team?” She practically bounced in her seat. “They get to attend the Alpha’s birthday banquet!”

In the right hands, they'd triple in value within a year. I closed my phone. A text from the lawyer: two more weeks. Everything was moving. The morning of the Hunting, I dressed in dark jeans and a plain black jacket. Practical. Warm. Nothing that would draw attention. The entire Pack streamed toward the hunting grounds — a vast stretch of old-growth forest that bordered Harrison's territory. Banners lined the path. The smell of roasting game and woodsmoke drifted from the preparation tents. Pups chased each other between the stalls while their parents shouted after them.

I hollered as I shifted to hunt down the bastards. Carson quickly caught the first two and eliminated them. The stupid assholes had thought coming back together half a mile from the clearing was going to help them. We crept through the forest silently, searching for the last rogue. We scouted the forest for hours and had just picked up its scent when a frantic call echoed through the forest. We froze misstep, trying to pick it up again if it was uttered again. Moments later a low-pitched bird call followed by a rapid, stressful one. Fuck. We looked around anxiously. ‘Falcon, hunters are here. What do we do?’

"We have trained hard, and now it's time to put our skills to the test. The Hunt begins tonight." The crowd erupted into cheers, their howls and barks filling the air. I could feel the excitement building in my chest, the thrill of the hunt calling out to something deep within me. The Hunt was a tradition among the pack, a chance for them to test our skills and prove our worth. It was a grueling night-long challenge, with the pack searching for a particular prey deep in the woods. As the pack dispersed to prepare for the Hunt, I found myself drawn to the edge of the village. I could hear the sounds of the forest calling out to me, the rustling of leaves, and the muffled sounds of the pack me

As if knowing my attention was on him, he said silently, "This is the last time you lie to me." Swallowing, I shifted my gaze to the window. Moments dragged by before I rested my forehead on the pane, looking at the thick forests we drove past. Why did he even care anyway? I would have gotten even worse wounds from the torture he would've had his men inflict on me. Through the review mirror, I caught sight of the long line of cars behind us. The Hunt usually spanned a period of just two days. Two days of violently hunting down wild games. The Hunt was a largely anticipated event and I failed to see how something so dangerous could be looked forward to. And not to mention, they'd be killing i

Their paws pounded the earth, the thrill of the hunt igniting their senses. Lucia's scent, sweet and tempting, lingered in the cool night air, drawing them deeper into the tangled maze of trees. Aiden's focus narrowed, his wolf driven by the primal need to claim what was theirs. Declan ran alongside his brother, their movements in perfect sync. They were closing in, their prey just within reach. The hunt was nearing its end, and the real fun was about to begin.

They returned to the clearing, their wolves dragging the bucks, the moonlight casting a silvery glow on their fur, the grounds a sanctuary, their bond a radiant light. Samantha looked at her pack, her green eyes glowing with pride, her voice soft but clear, the moonlight illuminating her face, the thrill of the hunt a mirror to the joy in her heart, the air thick with their shared legacy, the grounds a sanctuary, their bond a radiant flame. “We hunt as one,” she said, her auburn hair catching the moonlight, the crescent pendant around her neck gleaming, the moonlight dancing on her face, the grounds a haven, the warmth a shared joy. Luna howled beside her, her silvery-white fur glowing, the

Kiara’s POV The Hunting Festival was finally here. Asher and I, dressed in our hunting attire, walked side by side to the village square. The full moon cast a silver glow over the village, and the air was electric with excitement. We had been preparing for this night for weeks, and I could feel the anticipation building inside me. As we reached the square, Asher raised his hands, and the chatter of the pack members died down. “Friends, family, and fellow pack members," he began, his voice clear and strong. "Tonight, we gather for the ancient tradition of the Hunting Festival. Remember, the rules are simple: no cheating, no harming fellow pack members, and respect for the prey."

A shudder ran through me as I thought back to the day. *** Finally, it was the day of the hunting party, and everyone gathered around in the woods by the dusk. As wolves rarely bear the heat of the sun, these parties are arranged at an odd time. Also, we had to hunt within pack boundaries for the starting round. Rose was standing with few other omegas, her lips in between her teeth as she kept staring sideways. My heart throbbed, thumping against my ribcage so hard I could feel it reverberate through my chest. I breathed in through my nose, smelling damp grass and soil and wet.
