The Hunting Party Novels & Stories

The tension escalated as the hunters' gazes locked onto the group, suspicion etched upon their faces. Harry's muscles tensed, his protective instincts flaring as he braced himself for a confrontation. The hunters approached, their expressions hardened with determination. Their leader stepped forward, his voice laced with an undertone of authority. "Have you seen a man named Sangre? We've been tracking him for days," the hunter demanded, his eyes darting between the members of the group. Levi, ever the diplomat, stepped forward, his voice calm and measured. "We haven't seen Sangre. We're on our way to the School, seeking answers ourselves."

Their bodies become a blur of fur and muscle, illuminated by the moon's radiant glow. In a harmonious display of teamwork, the pack corners their chosen targets, their focused gazes fixed upon the deer. With calculated precision, they strike, their teeth and claws finding their marks. The forest echoes with the primal sounds of their success—the triumphant howls, the desperate cries of the prey, and the rustling of leaves as the hunt reaches its climax.

When we were kids, she used to get us into all kinds of trouble and I would always get blamed for it because once she flashed those big blue eyes, no one could accuse her of any wrongdoing. “To do it more often?” I laughed, thankful for the comic relief. Despite my bravado and earlier reassurances to Devon, I was still nervous. As he said, I did not like to kill animals. Werewolves were actually peaceful creatures and we didn’t hunt other animals asides from the Grant Hunt and the wolves who did it for sport. It wasn’t banned or anything so they were in their rights. It just wasn’t something I liked doing. For this reason, I was nervous. Plus, the Alpha’s arrogant son, Louis was participatin

In the continent of Elysium, magic has dried up and monsters have descended. The only way to survive is to participate in a game called "Hide and Seek." Only the winning races receive rewards and a chance to live. The Werewolf Clan drew me—a twenty-two-year-old half-blood werewolf. I was painfully thin, having been locked in a dungeon for the past fifteen years. The live chat scrolling before my eyes was filled with despair: [What the hell? This is our clan’s representative?] [A girl a strong breeze could knock over? Is she even an adult?] [I bet she bursts into tears the second she sees a monster.] [It’s over. We’re so dead. I knew we’d lose this time. Are the werewolves really going to be

After all, the hunt was just an excuse. I looked down to survey my surroundings. Tents were spread throughout the forest, and fires burned, a convenient formation of barracks. The hunters, mostly the gentlemen, and their attendants moved in perfect order, preparing for the hunt, and chefs were standing by, ready to receive whatever animals the hunters provided. Although more than a hundred people gathered, including guests from Northern, only a few participated directly in the hunt. Jermaine will, of course, participate, while I haven't seen Alpha Rohan yet. I just saw his aide in flashlight formation among the Northerners.

Ronan’s voice cut through the quiet, low and gravelly, and it was the first time I’d heard him talk since we started the hunt. I bit the inside of my cheek because he wasn’t wrong. There was nothing. Just the faint scent of fox and deer buried under layers of snow, and even the occasional wild wolf wasn’t enough to set me on edge. If the rogues had passed through here, we would’ve known. Their foul stench should’ve been clinging to every frozen surface, lingering in the air like a warning. But there was nothing. “Two pack members were hit. They saw them,” Marcus said, his words clipped as he pushed forward, his shoulders tense and I could tell even he was feeling frustrated already. The snow

Alpha Malik and Jericho stealthily reached their chosen hunting spot, a pristine wilderness teeming with possibilities. The hunting bush sprawled before them, a tapestry of lush greenery, dappled sunlight, and hidden secrets. The air danced with the earthy scent of the forest, inviting them to immerse themselves in its embrace. As they ventured deeper into the hunting bush, their eyes keenly scanning the surroundings, a symphony of chirping birds and rustling leaves serenaded their senses. The king's heart quickened with anticipation, and his hunter's instincts ignited.

The party after the initiation ceremony was still going on in the dining room of the pack house. Everyone was assembled there and I couldn’t catch a breath or take a step without someone congratulating me or telling me how amazing the hunt was. Pack hunts were rare because we didn’t want to disturb the ecosystem around us, but they were sometimes a celebration, like today. I was lucky to spot a herd of deer, and we managed to hunt down a couple of them, enough for everyone in the pack to take a celebratory bite of the hunt. Now, I was tired, both from the day and everyone frolicking around me.

"And right now, the pack needs meat." --- The hunting party left at midday. Lyra led them through the forest, her senses sharp, her body low. The other hunters followed her lead, their movements silent, their focus absolute. They had been training for this. They were ready. The tracks were fresh—a herd of deer, moving east toward the mountains. Lyra signaled to the others, and they spread out, surrounding the herd, cutting off their escape. The hunt was swift and clean. The deer fell one by one, their bodies collapsing into the snow, their blood staining the white ground. The hunters worked quickly, field dressing the kills, loading the meat onto sledges made

I was jerked back to the present by a hand tapping lightly on my shoulder. "Stop daydreaming," my father snapped as he stared down at ms. "We're here." I looked out the window to see that a small chapel stood before us. It was elegant and looked private. This was definitely the kind of place where inconvenient marriages quietly took place. The chauffeur opened my door. I stepped out and instantly began to stretch my legs which were stiff from the journey. My father took a step closer to me in order to straighten my tie one last time.
