Romans & histoires The Hunting Party Summary

As soon as the howl of the hunt goes up and the humans shift, he takes off running, quickly getting out of the river and turning north again. He pushes hard, knowing that we don’t have a large head start on the hunting party. We’re just about to the road that is considered the boundary of the northern and southern packs, when I realize they've boxed me in. Part of the hunting party is there, waiting for me. Daxton turns east again, trying to get away, but it’s not use. We have the river to our left, and a hunting party in front of us and behind us. We don’t get far before Daxton is tackled to the ground. He throws off the wolves and turns, ready to fight.

I said "you're still young hunny but when you turn 18 I'm sure your brother wouldn't mind taking you and Crystal to hunt" 'I want us to hunt with our mate first' Crystal beamed 'oh god' I huffed "I'll be happy to go hunting with Xander" I said, "mom where is carly", "oh she must have gone to the kitchen" she said "okay I'll go and find her after they come back", after some time Xander I mean Alpha Xander and the other pack members came back from hunting Xander was holding a deer and other pack members too, as they started a borne fire I went to the kitchen as I was about to enter I was yanked by two pairs of strong hand, the the scent of honey hit me so strong that I couldn't breathe right

In the continent of Elysium, magic has dried up and monsters have descended. The only way to survive is to participate in a game called "Hide and Seek." Only the winning races receive rewards and a chance to live. The Werewolf Clan drew me—a twenty-two-year-old half-blood werewolf. I was painfully thin, having been locked in a dungeon for the past fifteen years. The live chat scrolling before my eyes was filled with despair: [What the hell? This is our clan’s representative?] [A girl a strong breeze could knock over? Is she even an adult?] [I bet she bursts into tears the second she sees a monster.] [It’s over. We’re so dead. I knew we’d lose this time. Are the werewolves really going to be

"I've heard that story!" Killian groaned. "Father... it was one time." Aiden's silver eyes sparkled. "You climbed out the window?" Killian cleared his throat. "We're changing the subject." "No," Aiden said proudly. "I think you're much cooler now." Seraphina shook her head, laughing. "I've learned something new today." Soon the hunting party entered the royal forest. More than fifty wolves accompanied them; some remained in human form, while others shifted, their powerful wolves weaving gracefully through the trees.

Alec’s POV- After the meeting, I hang back in the packhouse to speak with Kade about what he saw with the hunters. We got the link from Jace that there was another rogue shortly after Kade went out, but then Kade sent a short link just saying ‘hunters’. Kinda cryptic but there wasn’t any call for help or link from anyone else on patrol in that area so we assumed everything went ok. Just then the front door flung open and I could practically feel the tension and aggression coming off of Kade as he stalked through the door, not caring to try and close it behind him. He starts to head off to his room but I get in his line of sight and stop him first.

“The manhunt game right?” “Yeah. You have to participate or you'll get killed instantly. You have to participate but you get to be the prey of these so-called-hunters with guns, and you—the only thing you can do is run and hide to prolong your life. And if you survive, what's the price? No—no one can survive.” It's when he speaks longer when the realization comes to me that he has a raspy voice like a turntable. “There were actually three of us when it happened. The first one was killed, shot in the head. The second was also killed, but by the man they called 'Eagle Eye'.”

His deflated dick was none too happy about the change of events in his hunt. The hunters were naturally separating into three groups, much like the prey. The front group took off quickly, they knew exactly what they wanted. They had found their mate in the days leading up to this hunt and were determined to bring back their mates today. If luck held out, they would be ready to mark their prize and carry them back to the castle before nightfall. What followed would be the inevitable days of sex and closing feasts before they took their mates home for their tribes to welcome.

I can't wait for it, its gonna be fun", Carleigh shot me a sidelong look. I ignored her, focusing instead on the warmth of the pendant and the lingering sensation of Mackline’s touch on my skin. My thighs still felt a little shaky, but I kept my posture straight and my expression neutral. “This evening’s hunt will be a full pack run. No threats, no borders to patrol, just us. We’ll head deep into the southern woods at dusk, track the big herds of elk and deer that moved in last week, and let loose.” Raymond continued, voice filled with anticipation. “We run as wolves tonight. Feel the wind, chase the prey together, hunt like we were meant to. It’s been too long since we had a proper pack hun

He had his leverage. He rode back to the castle at the head of a somber, defeated party, the other hunters slumping in their saddles, their pride wounded, their ambitions dashed. The mood was a strange mix of relief and resentment. They were relieved that the Hunt was over, but they were resentful of the winner, a stranger from a backward pack who had come into their territory and stolen their prize.

"I won't let anyone harm you." The music changed to something more energetic, and other couples filled the dance floor. Leo guided me through the crowd, keeping me close as we navigated the increasingly rowdy celebration. "The hunt will begin at midnight," he explained. "After the ceremonial howl, the warriors will depart to track the marked prey. It's an honor bestowed only on our strongest fighters." "Will you participate?" I asked. "As Alpha, I lead the primary hunting party. It's tradition." His eyes searched mine. "Will you be alright for those few hours without me?"
