The Hunting Party Summary Novels & Stories

As if knowing my attention was on him, he said silently, "This is the last time you lie to me." Swallowing, I shifted my gaze to the window. Moments dragged by before I rested my forehead on the pane, looking at the thick forests we drove past. Why did he even care anyway? I would have gotten even worse wounds from the torture he would've had his men inflict on me. Through the review mirror, I caught sight of the long line of cars behind us. The Hunt usually spanned a period of just two days. Two days of violently hunting down wild games. The Hunt was a largely anticipated event and I failed to see how something so dangerous could be looked forward to. And not to mention, they'd be killing i

Away they went. Three hours had elapsed, yet the tournament raged on. The Red Moon pack held its lead, though the Dark of the Gods pack was a close second. In the third game, referred to as the hunt, both teams would venture into the woods together with ropes for hiding and seeking. The hunt begins with a gunshot once they've found their hiding place. Whoever gets tired will lose, and the winner will have to bring the loser to the front to see everyone in the crowd. When it was Dawn turn, she wasted no time finding a place to hide. Her familiarity with the area allowed her to pinpoint the best hiding places. What excited her most about the hunting game was competing against Malachi, her best

They were a large bonfire that was raised in the middle of the coven ground, it was a smoking signal that ended the hunt and a call for everyone to come back with what they had gotten from the hunt Freya and Claudia made it first and brought the small deer that She had killed, Claudia had caught a small rabbit and didn’t look happy about her what she found, It would have been more pathetic if she came back with nothing knowing people would compare, when Freya moved to drop her hunt, everyone’s eyes were on her, studying every move she made It was like they too have felt that she want the bold grey they knew, that she was younger and a force to reckon with,

Allowing everyone to participate meant dividing my summons into separate groups to effectively monitor the attendees. Finally, the day of the hunting party dawned. The ambience was entirely unexpected. Anticipating cheers, laughter, and a joyful mood, I was surprised to find a tense atmosphere. The residents eyed each other intensely, exuding an air of rivalry that seemed ingrained since birth. Those participating arrived fully clad in armour, with an array of weapons adorning their bodies, much to the surprise of many present, particularly Anastasia and Zikk. "S-So many armours and weapons?" Zikk mumbled suspiciously, voicing the astonishment shared by the onlookers.

“As was expected. Your kind’s chosen path did not necessarily warrant a written history. Beasts had no use of the past. But times are changing. I realized your pack in the north is embracing a new form of governance. You are evolving out of the bestial lifestyle your ancestors were known for. “I think this is one of the reasons why your pack was chosen to be part of the hunt. The nature elementals saw that you are capable of handling the challenges of holding the power of the royal blood. Which, your friend, Selene seemed to have.” “What are you talking about?” Archibald was still confused. “What hunt?” “Once the presence of the royal blood became known, the hunting season will start. And th

Replying affirmatively, Zen counted down and cast his binding spell, a treant speciality. As roots sprung from the ground to tie the unsuspecting wolf down, Oritha threw her giant boomerang, and Damian cast an isolation barrier so the other sheep would not be affected by their hunt. In less than twenty seconds, the half-howl of the sly wolf marked the end of their hunt. As the wolf’s head fell to the grass, ending rather anticlimactic, everyone in Godly Food Party received the final part of the main quest. “Good work!” Sasha chimed over the call from the village. “I can finally stop burning down houses. I was worried I would have to start lighting up the marketplace.”

Marcos said. “Thank you,” before I went out to the mansion. I saw the old truck parking in front. I sat in the passenger seat. In the mirror I saw Darius placing the trays of egg in the back of the truck before we go. We're silent on the trip until he breaks the silence when he asks me. “Do you want to join the Hunting Party?” I looked at him while my brow arched, “what hunting party?” “It’s a festival every year that everyone can join to this down, to the five days of festival their so-called hunting party which all of the members of the party will be gathered in the forest at night with weapons and everything. A hunting party is like hunting a wolf.”

“I don’t care what your rut demands, Silas. I’m done being understanding. Today, I fight for myself and this child. Not for you.” I turned away from him before he could respond, joining the central hunting party despite his orders for me to stay back. Martha stayed glued to my side, and two of Silas’s loyal warriors fell in behind us without a word. The pack moved into the dense forest, the full moon’s lingering power humming through the trees even in daylight. The hunt started normally enough—tracking deer trails, wolves howling in coordinated bursts. But I felt the shift in the air within the first hour. The rivals had been waiting.

Christian explained the emergency protocols they'd developed since then—supply caches hidden throughout the territory, communication schedules using pack bonds, and designated check-in times. My head spun with information I'd never considered. Being Luna wasn't just emotional support and blessing ceremonies. It was logistics and planning and contingencies for worst-case scenarios. Christian's hand found mine under the table. “Breathe.” “I'm breathing.” “You're panicking.” “Also breathing while panicking. Multitasking.” He smiled, squeezing my fingers. “You're doing great.” The first hunting party returned at sunset, Marcus leading them through the warehouse delivery entrance. Three deer and

Hard, desperate, like he's trying to memorize the taste of me. When he pulls back, his eyes are gold. "Let's go hunting." The hunting party gathers at dawn. Twelve wolves. Representatives from six different packs. Some I recognize. Most I don't. None of them look happy to be following me. Good. I don't need them happy. I need them focused. "Elena is smart," I say. "She won't be hiding where we expect. She'll have wolves watching every approach. Every exit." "Then how do we find her?" one of the hunters asks.
