The Lycan King's Mate Ava Novels & Stories

Before I could realize he was moving, he was already upon me, pushing me to the floor. I screamed and kicked and clawed, but he caged me in easily. He was biting the mound of his thumb, drawing blood. I was still struggling, trying to resist as he pushed my mouth open with two thick fingers. “This is what we Lycans call a blood oath,” King Zavan spoke low and maddeningly calm as he dribbled the blood into my mouth. “If you thought we were bound before as mates, your will is now tethered to mine. You are to do what I ask. Our lives are tied.”

The argument went in circles while the mate bond screamed with pain, both of us saying things we didn't mean and couldn't take back, words designed to hurt because we were both terrified and angry and desperate. Vincent returned at sunset and found us sitting in tense silence on opposite sides of the shelter, the space between us feeling like a canyon that might never be bridged again. "I see you two have been having productive discussions," Vincent said with amusement. "Have you reached a decision about my offer?" "I need more time," I said. "Dawn tomorrow, no extensions." Damon stood abruptly. "She's not accepting your offer, find another price or leave." "I don't take orders from you in t

Aria woke up the next morning to the sound of birds chirping outside her window. She rubbed her eyes and sat up, feeling a wave of sadness wash over her as she remembered her sister's elopement. But she knew she had to be strong and try to adjust to her new role as the Lycan Queen. She got dressed and made her way to the dining hall, where Dax was already waiting for her. He greeted her with a warm smile and they sat down to have breakfast together. She couldn't help but feel a little awkward around him, knowing that she was only his substitute mate.

she announced like I didn’t already know that, like I didn’t already open my stupid mouth and call him ‘mate’. “He’s the Lycan King of the Bloodmoon pack and he’s our mate,” she added in excitement, “I can just feel his Lycan calling out to me.” She added and as I yelled at her, all of the excitement came washing down. There is no way Nikolai Ashwood is my mate. There is no way I am going to accept a rude, arrogant and condescending person as my mate.

With a Lycan, no one wanted to imagine it. So they stayed down, eyes darting, waiting for someone else to decide. The Lycan king did not look stressed. I made myself look at him properly, for what I knew would be the last time. The man whose scent I had begged the moon for. The man who had cleaned my wounds in the dark and let me believe his gentleness meant something.

She didn’t mean any of that,” the other woman said, wringing her hands in apology. I barely heard her. I couldn’t tear my gaze off Avery. I was shocked. Angry but then amazed by her audacity to speak to me that way. Even if she didn’t know who I was five years ago, back then, when I had just assumed my position as Lycan King after my father’s death, she should know now. And what is even more surprising to me is that, didn’t she feel it? The mate bond? Every female wolf dreams of being mated to the Lycan King.

“If they want war, they’ll get one. But they’ll learn one thing before this ends.” “What’s that?” I whispered. He turned to me, and his eyes weren’t just Damon’s anymore. They were the eyes of a king. A Lycan King. “That no one touches what’s mine.” —

At first Eden was just in front of me but I paused to listen to a small pack talking about the Lycan king Arnou and Eden ended up ahead of me. "He's the youngest lycan king we've ever had and apparently he has no mate yet." A teenage girl said. She stood with her pack of friends close to the refreshment table. "I heard he came to look for his mate this time. Thats why I wore this forest green dress. It makes my tits look good and I heard he loves green" Her friend replied giggling.
