The alcohol I’d consumed wasn’t helping. Cassio and Luca King. Mafia. Their father, Benito King, was one of the most feared men on the East Coast of the United States. And his sons weren’t far behind them. “Your mother is dead, Branka,” Cassio explained. “And your brother needs you back.” A soft gasp escaped my lips and I glanced at my best friend. I couldn't get even a pinch of food to eat and couldn't scream out to demand one. It was obvious he intended to starve me until I begged for a meal. Such a monster. "Yeah.. a toasted one" I gritted out, and one of the men that accompanied the Mafia king chuckled softly, speaking of the Mafia king I finally got a good view of him, his striking green eyes which had flecks of brown in them gazed at me with a cold look, he was clad in a Black dress suit and black trousers, his raven black hair jelled neatly to the side, he was well built his muscles rippled whenever he moves. "We would be taking Amelia Starling today to the airport as she is to start work tomorrow," The Mafia King said his eyes trailing over me.

" The Mafia King studied him for a long moment, smoke curling from his lips. Then he chuckled softly, like Martin had just told a joke. "Be careful what you offer." He said. He glanced around the room once more, at the blood, at the body on the floor, before his eyes returned to Martin. "You don't have money." He continued calmly. "You don't have power. And you don't have time." Martin shook his head again. "Please—" "I'll take one of your children." The Mafia King said, cutting him off. The words landed heavier than a gunshot. Martin froze. "What...?"

He paused for a while, and continued, "You are my nightingale and will be mine forever. I only loved you, I love you and I will love you for the entire life. And for the next upcoming births, I want you as my life." Tears dropped down. He kissed my eyes whirling me. It was stopping the tears. "I only hated you in the past," I whispered in an apologetic tone. "But now you love me," He snuggled around my neck. "Yes, but I never expected you so soft as you are treating me. After all, you are the king of the mafia world," I uttered with a little courage. Calling him cruel means awakening his sword. "Does mafia king have not to heart, feelings?" He asked making me shut.

And I don’t think there is really much more, for words don’t need to tell, but there is nothing more I can or want to say to make her understand how important this is for me. I am a man that is about to either lose the reason why this heart drums to a melody every day, or I shall find that newfound reason, that purpose, that will take me through the difficult times that are to come. “Princess, I only want you to understand one thing. His smirk is plastered on his face. "So, you want to talk about something?" He asks. I nod. With a gesture of his hand, he tells me to speak. "Who are you?" I ask lowly. "Do you want to kill me? "How do you even know me?" "First, I am Luciano Knight, the mafia king. I own this country and nothing happens here without my knowledge. Second, no I am not going to kill you but will keep you with me forever. Third I know you because I have been watching you for over a year waiting to claim you."

Before I could react to anything, Mafia King, Gideon took the chance to speak, " Please take your seat, Alpha Don." A Mafia King didn't hold powers more than me. They got the title from their family and worked as an instructor in the Mafia. Wearing a cold expression, I got on my seat, glaring at Maxim Levitsky from time to time.
