There was a tale passed through generations, reaching the 21st Century, about a group of werewolves’ special mutation that brings out dormant abilities from a family’s genetic line. They were said to be marked and blessed by the moon goddess for they were the first of her followers. They were given the title of Legacy Wolves, keeping up their tradition and passing on their special traits through their children.

The silence in the clearing in which the members of the pack were gathered was deafening, and the tension was thick and palpable. The two werewolves - the alpha and his beta, squared off each other, both waiting for who would make the first move or throw the first punch. They were circling each other slowly, making low growling sounds in their throat as they moved around the clearing, which had been cleared of the wounded. The alpha was taking his time, and it was evident to all those who watched the fight that he did not want to do this. He did not want to have to fight with his son if he could avoid it, so he was stalling on throwing the first punch.

He grabbed at me through the bars, but I quickly jumped out of the way. I raised my hands and yelled, pushing the air, and he went sailing backward, hitting the wall again. He burst out laughing as he got to his feet. "You just proved my point." "And what point is that?" I was interested, despite myself. "The Skyefrost Pack was a pack of wolf witches." He shrugged. "We were lucky enough to catch the whole pack in their tents, and we took them down." "You unimaginable b*stard."

He almost cries from a weird mix of joy, relief and exhaustion when he sees the menacing wolves stop abruptly, so much so that they pile onto each other in a mess of limbs and confused barks. Millan has to retain his laughter; they really are one of the most idiotic packs he’s ever encountered. He falls to the ground and clutches his painfully pulsating leg with both his hands and leans on the sheltering tree, desperately trying to catch his breath. The pile of alphas and betas slowly disentangle themselves before their leader comes as close to Millan as the border would allow it. “If I catch your scum rogue ass on our territory again, I’ll rip your head off. Is that clear?”

she shrieked, trying to push herself up on trembling arms. The windows exploded inward. Glass showered the room as three massive wolves burst through, their bodies rippling with raw power. Miranda threw her arms over her face, feeling the rush of wind and fur and something ancient that made her own wolf whimper in submission. Daniel scrambled backward, his face drained of all color. The chanting outside stopped abruptly. The three wolves were enormous, each one easily twice the size of normal pack wolves. One had fur black as midnight, another russet brown that gleamed like polished copper, and the third was silver-grey like winter storm clouds.

the Black Wolf growled, his eyes fixed on Millent. "We will not rest until we have what we want. And we will take it, no matter the cost." With those ominous words, the Black Wolf disappeared back into the shadows, leaving Millent and the werewolf pack on edge. They knew that the Moon Clan would be back, and they would be ready. Millicent looked up at her triplets, fear and determination mingling in her gaze. She knew that their love for each other would be tested in the battles to come, and she could only hope that it would be enough to defeat their enemies.

The Resonants stopped, their natural human instincts fighting a sudden, terrifying spike of adrenaline. Killian stepped forward, pushing the massive gates open with a single, effortless thrust of his arm. The courtyard was a sea of slate-grey fur and silver-veined quartz armor. Five hundred massive wolves stirred from their slumber, shaking the morning dew from their heavy coats. The sound of their armored plates grinding together was deafening. They rose to their paws, their violet eyes locking onto the crowd of strangers standing at the threshold of their sanctuary.

The clash of bodies, the snarls and growls, and the sickening sound of claws tearing through flesh filled the air, drowning out the natural sounds of the forest. His amber eyes flicked to Kael, who fought fiercely a few feet away, his gray wolf locked in a brutal struggle with two rogues. Mirella’s smaller, lithe wolf darted in and out of the chaos, her movements precise as she struck at vulnerable points, cutting down the rogues one by one.

Verina’s wolves fanned out on either side of her, all of them large, dark, with glowing red eyes, crouching down, ready to hurl themselves at my pack. My wolves were equally prepared, stooping low, finding their centers of gravity so they could launch off of the ground and meet any attack midair. Or be the first to strike.

Well, I guess I'll have to tell her the truth because she always knows when I'm lying, and she hates it when I do. She's the only friend I have in the entire pack. She's already transformed and is a beautiful omega. Her fur is golden, and her eyes are dark brown. She has a sweet and fiery personality, but that rarely surfaces. Her wolf's name is Lilica. She's very rebellious against the injustices committed against omegas. She's also very funny. Milly is six years older than me and no longer needs to attend the academy, but like me, she hasn't found her mate yet. It seems I'm not the only exception to love among wolves.
