The Monster Under My Bed Book Novels & Stories

It's the only form of light in here. I look to my left and I find a little bed on an iron bed carrier. More like the ones you see in prisons. Am I in jail!?. What did I do!?.I look to my right and I see a rocking chair. And that's just it. All that's in this room. I can at least tell that the room is painted pink. And.... Is... Do I see blood on the wall!!?. Fear suddenly grips me as this very scenario reminds me of a story 'Mommy's House' by z0mbies I read this story on wattpad some days back. And now I feel like I am in the same story. What's going on!?.

I pulled his hand toward my chest, letting him feel the steady, frantic beat of my heart. "We’re writing a new story now, Julian," I said, my voice barely a whisper over the sound of the waves. "In this story, the monster saves the queen, and the queen... she shows the monster that he was always a king in disguise. You're in every chapter from here on out."

I inquired further, wanting to know what I'd be facing down there if I decided to accompany my grandmother to the forbidden basement. I noticed the hesitation on Granny's face. "Child, I have something to tell you—the truth about the basement that I have hidden from you for a long time." "What is it, Granny? Tell me about it. I'm ready to listen." I was eager to hear the truth about the basement. Granny Ursula stared at my face for a long time before she opened her eyes to speak. "The truth is, there are no monsters in the basement." My eyes widened in shock. "Huh? So if there are no monsters, what is down there?" I asked, a great deal of curiosity flashing in my eyes.

I quickly entered my room, shutting the door behind me as I pretended to be busy in reading the books, I randomly found in this room. I heard the door click open behind me but I didn't dared to turn around to see the monster even when I heard the sound of door locking. Gathering all the courage in myself, I stood still not batting an eye to anything he was doing. My hands stumbled as I went to pick the book in my trembling hands and the book end up down on the floor. The sound of book hitting the floor cut through the silence in the room and my trembling hand clutched on the corner of the table for support.

I told you, future astronaut here. “Even monsters?” I stoop in front of her, my feet flat on the floor, buttoning the undid button of her pink flowered dress and pulling her in for repeated kisses on her cheek. Her cheeks go rosy red but she answers bravery, in a whispered tone and with a crooked smile, nodding slowly. “Even monsters, mummy.” She of course thinks the tree outside was the monster I referred to, whose shadow used to be cast inside her bedroom at night. Until Jax cut it down some months back because she cried, every night insisting the monster was trying to climb up her bed every night to take her away from us.

I chuckle as I lift my drink to my lips. “Blake,” he grumbles. “Putting him to bed has been a nightmare lately. Someone, we’re not sure who, probably a kid in his preschool class, has him convinced monsters live under his bed and are going to eat him the second we leave the room. He gets Liam all wound up, too.” Despite his frustrated tone, he smiles against the rim of his glass. “I wake up every morning and roll over to kiss my wife and find Blake between us, stretched out like a starfish in nothing but his undies, sleeping like a baby.”

I fold the paper back up and turn off the light. I lie in bed and stare into nothingness as the house sleeps quietly, as it always does. A place I’ve started calling home without meaning to. In fact, this might be better than my actual home. At least, things aren’t hidden here much; they make it clear they don’t like you, unlike the Azaeres household. A house that holds a lot of skeletons in its closet and monsters under its beds. Skeletons and monsters that come out and take a piece of me once in a while. Will there be anything left of me when everything comes out?

I looked at Lizzy’s wolf for help, but she was still just relaxed on the bed, watching me with sleepy red eyes. Testing me. Right. “Alright, you want to get down? We’ll get down,” I mumbled to him, sliding to my knees and setting him on the floor beside me. “Mick,” he sobbed, lunging under the bed. Did he have a stuffed animal under there or something? I lifted the blanket hanging over it, and my eyebrows shot upward when I found a box of some kind of chocolate milk drinks underneath the mattress. Mick… Milk. Ohhh.

No one knew when the Great Lycan would come back and no one wanted to go against the rules of the leaders of the underworld. Lucas was ten years old when he first turned, his fur was white as snow and beautiful. He had been homeschooled for half of his life because his parents shielded him from the outside world, he was taught martial arts and self-defense at the age of eight and excelled in it, but he was sixteen and it was time for a change of environment. Reginald drove to the Lakeshore High school to enroll Lucas as a student for the senior year, it was unusual to have a new student and especially one for the senior year but the Alpha had his connections and Lucas was a bright student.

Little demons under the bed. That was exactly what little Andrew hated. And there were a lot of them. “Goodnight, little one,” his father said, smiling at him. They were in his room. He wanted his dad to keep staying there, but he knew the man would leave his room soon. That was when they usually came. The monsters that shuffled around under his bed. They would play and roll about waiting for when his legs would mistakenly extend out of the bed, then they would grab his legs and pull him under.
