Chapter Eleven The first gunshot cracked the night like thunder as the clearing exploded into chaos. Headlights blazed, engines roared, and trucks screeched to a halt as hunters poured out armed to the teeth, their rifles gleaming under the silver wash of moonlight. Muzzles flashed, bullets whining through the air as the Fangs scrambled for cover. “Down! Get down!” Reed roared, dragging one of his brothers into the dirt as rounds tore into the safehouse walls.

They do and I shift back so quick I barely feel the bones snapping. I open up the safe that is hidden in a bush. I feel blood drip down my sides as I grab the guns. My men fighting the wolves all at once. I shoot one of the two that is lashing in my best fighter. The wolf immediately crashes down when the silver bullet hits his side. Jim shivered in fear. Most especially the ones who had the advantage in speed or distance covered, they died the most horribly. Seems like Wilson was right and those hunters were not joking. These one eyed beasts truly did not want any single person to escape. Was this going to be the end for him as well? No way! never! How could he die like this?
