The comet shone brighter than the full moon, enough to illuminate the cultivating town. Yet, in there, the beauty of the scene has lost its meaning, as young, teen, and old were watching it with their awe filled-eyes and faint sad smiles. An inevitable noise then shocked the night. So frightening and familiar, that whenever it echoes in the town, they pray for the life that it has taken, for another blood was spilled on the so-called innocent land. By the dark alley, men on their blue identical distinctive set of clothes were sprinting towards where the sound elapses, in search of its rigid source.

I stepped to the front of the door and saw my friends, it was dark there. As I was looking at the place to take a better view, sorcerer pushed me inside and I fell in. It was Dawn and that day was the day of the Halloween festival. It was quite a busy night for Raven and her friends as they had lots of fun in the woods the night before. All of them made their way back into town as early as 6 am and by that time they could already see that the preparations for the Halloween festival was already on the way by the store keepers and they were all very serious and intentional about it with the pumpkins, decorations, lights and everything needed to actually make the night a pretty scary one.

The village is still here, but soon we won't know we ever were alive. We will think the nightmares are just dreams. We will think the reversed doors are just strange. If it took removing that little boy from the equation to make that happen, then so be it. I picked up my phone and dialed my contact, my voice cold and controlled. “Is everything set for Halloween night in two weeks?” “Yes,” came the reply. “We’ll be in position. The neighborhood they’re trick-or-treating in is quiet. There shouldn’t be any trouble.” “Good.” I smiled, feeling the adrenaline starting to build. “Make sure everything goes according to plan. I don’t want any mistakes.” “There won’t be. The boy will be with us by the time you give the go-ahead.”

In thirty minutes, the three bowls of cookies were empty. "That was some afternoon snack." Aaron said rubbing his stomach. "The costumes are coming in this evening. I can't wait to see them." Kami said with a smile. "What are you dressing these two guys as, please tell me it is Captain Underpants." Aaron said. "No, but you will see tomorrow night." Our mate replied. Tonight is the Halloween night. Kami asked us to be home two pm because the makeup will take a long time. Turns out we are going as Frankensteins and the bride of Frankenstein.
