Alys asked him quietly, as she ran her fingers over the carvings, staring at them in wonder. “This is a supernatural shop. Our warlock friend runs it and he sells all sorts of books on the different beings, as well as all manner of other things. I thought it would be good for you to come here and maybe we can get you a book on werewolf history so you can learn more on our species, and I am hoping to find one on Half Bloods.” Aiden explained. He knocked three times before turning the handle and walking in.

The night air wrapped around us like a warm whisper, the quiet hum of the city buzzing just loud enough to fill the spaces between our footsteps. Teddy didn’t say much as we walked, which was fine—I wasn’t much for small talk when my mind was already racing in twenty directions. The glow of The Other Room came into view about ten minutes later, a squat building with faded black trim and a crooked neon sign that flickered every third second. I expected chaos when we walked in—sweaty dancing bodies, lines at the bar, music that made conversation useless.

Xoyo, a black-haired, almond -eyed, and dove lips ,21 years old young lady sat in the big sofa while spending her time reading an old comic book.

“Take it easy. I don’t clean up puke. I’m a guardian, not a maid.” Serenity slowed her eating and leaned back, watching Noah. In between mouthfuls of food, she asked questions. “Who’s Thorne? Where is he? Are you really a demon?” Noah shrugged. “Yes, to the demon, and if the wings weren’t enough…” his gaze shifted to hers and flames danced across his eyes, his black pupils overtaking the brown and white. Serenity’s chopsticks hovered in midair. “Cool…” “As to Thorne? Well,” he put the empty container to the table and picked up another. “He’s the other half of this enterprise. He’s the dark half and the one you’ll meet after you learn to control the influx of power.”

Emily jeered wild eyed. "Ronan's the mismatched half. The half you were supposed to marry. Well, it does have a nice ring to it, don't you think?" Jess pondered upon while Lizzy nodded at the comment and Anya simply blinked as it all came to her, all at once. At first she didn't quite comprehend with all the halves they were mentioning but then it occurred to her that twins were also called halves and couples were denoted as halves and that's the denomination her friends were making.

I looked at my mother, who now had a confused look on her face. "Sweetheart, what's the matter?" She inquired again. "You are the issue, Mom. The embarrassment I have to take because you birth me. This is a prenup agreement. The circumstance Mr Oswald is talking about here would be related to us being rumoured to be the gold-digging duo of Sandstone Pack. I have nothing to say to you now." I picked up the paper to sign it.

My heart smashed against my chest so hard that I inhaled a ragged breath. He remembered. Oh, fuck, he remembered. "Must be lovely." The woman gleamed beside me and I nodded quickly, unable to take my eyes off the night dresses. They were beautiful and foreign and I loved them. "I think there's something else." She observed, pointing at one of the items separated in a different package bag. "You're right." I pulled it out. It was a two-piece pink butterfly patterned bikini swimsuit and it had a note fastened to it.

Mia said. " Half mermaid? What is your other half then? " Ruby asked. " A wolf" Mia claimed proudly.

"We just have to check here for whatever signs she shows. I'd have done so myself, but she's your mate, and you've spent more time with her." Adam picks up the top one, reading the cover. "Werehybrids? Really?" he asks, a brow raised. I shrug. "It's a start." He flips through the pages. "So, you think she's half-wolf, half-human?" I sit, taking the book from him and opening it to the page where the contents are written. "Isn't it obvious? She thinks she's human, doesn't have a wolf, but for some reason, has special senses. I think being half wolf and half human is the most logical explanation for that."
