The Other Half Book Novels & Stories

We have come to the end of Alpha Ryder's Flavor - A Mate's Taste. This is PART TWO of Alpha Ryder's Flavor - The Other Twin. It is one book but different challenges and struggles. Instead of writing a few months/years later which can make a reader lose interest in the fast-paced chapter. I prefer to announce to my readers that you are reading another life story of Ryder and Charia in this second part. According to the title, The Other Twin, there are more sides to Alpha Ryder than just a lovely face card, a power pack, and a beautiful mate. he has other secrets that his wife Charia does not know about which is a big risk to their union.

I read the book to her so many times that she would know it as well as the next lines. “And humanity is as the ocean, a few drops that are dirty, do not make the whole ocean dirty. A few drops that are dirty, do make that ocean tainted” She says with tears as she recites it. Salvatore looks at us both and smirks knowing that it is from some book. It was never what he connected to Avery on but the quote is easily understood. Looking at my children I understand the decisions she made. She was wrong to lie but she knew that I told her to save them long ago.

“Who are you to pass judgement on someone who just resumed today?” He steps closer, getting into her face. “Well for your information, we’re brothers—” “Correction,” Xavier interrupts smoothly. “Half-brothers.” With a scowl, Charles ignores him. “And I’ve known him longer than you. If you let yourself get roped in by his charm, I’ll make sure you’re kicked out faster than he can sleep his way through an entire brothel.” Alara is in complete shock, rooted to a spot as she looks between the half-brothers. She missed the eyebrows and blue eyes. How did she not realize this earlier on?

He lost his job over the scandal and watched his life fall apart overnight. On my birthday, he bought a cake and set it on the table. He sang Happy Birthday to an empty room, then picked up a kitchen knife and drove it into his own chest. "Curtis… I'm sorry. Please forgive me," he muttered under his breath. I watched it all, calm and distant, feeling lighter than I ever had. Before I left, I went to see Janice one last time. She had secured her graduate placement and earned a scholarship. Her life was finally getting better.

“I really have no idea why you’re being like this all of a sudden, but, whatever it is Katie cat, I’m here. I’m always here,” I let myself calm down before facing him once more. I was halfway to pinching myself to see if I was dreaming or if this was real. I wish that this was real. But from my subconscious, I could sense that this can be a speck of my imagination. None of this could be real. Because if this was my reality, what was of the other one? Was that the one I have dreamed of and not this one? For a moment, I was left confused. Where was that mysterious stranger anyway?

If only her body and mind works at the same pace. "Sandra?" Salvador asked curiously. "My sister." Luna nodded. "You don't look alike." He stated. "They say that alot." Her eyes caught a quite complex map. She wasn't that good at reading maps but she could tell it was more of an action theme by the different territories marked out. "The maps are for your books right?" "Hmm..." Salvador hummed. "Then which book is this?" She turned over the book for him to see. "Let me see." He adjusted the nerdy glass sitting on his nose, squinting his eyes at the note. "I think it's 'NEKON'S.' map."

she said, and I waved at her in response. Alone in my room, my thoughts turned to my life as a half-rank wolf. With an alpha Dad and an omega mom, our existence was considered an abomination by our society, neither fully high-ranked nor fully low-ranked. The high wolves would despise us for having our blood mixed with the slaves, while the slaves would treat us the same for being above them despite having the same blood. It was like we had no place in this world.

The answers I had been avoiding, the truth I had been running from — it was all here, in my hands. I took a deep breath and opened the book. The title on the next page stopped me cold: Almega. I blinked, my breath catching in my throat. Almega? I had never heard the term before, but the name itself sent a ripple of unease through me. The letters looked old, the ink slightly faded, but there was no mistaking the severity of the words. I continued reading, my heart pounding harder with each sentence. “An Almega is a rare and dangerous creature—half Alpha, half Omega.” The book… it really is about me.

I vowed, as I started to walk out of the room. “I know. I believe.” She spoke as I waited for Jarod and Archer to join me. Once we were outside of the room, I gave my other half a wave before I closed the door once more. The hex I had created long ago suddenly appeared in my mind, which I figured was because of the other half of my soul. It was strange thinking that I have been going through life with only half of me. Waving my hand over the door, I placed the Hex back in place as if it were as easy as breathing. I was getting the hang of things a lot more, which gave me a reason to believe I would put an end to all of this now.
