The Other World's Wizard Does Not Chant Novels & Stories

“I can use the System to revive you, but on the condition that you go back and stop Lucien’s actions that are destabilizing the world. Otherwise, your world will collapse, and he will die.” Hearing that stirred nothing in me. I remained calm as I said, “He and I are over. Whether he lives or dies, I don’t care.” The man clearly didn’t expect that answer. He froze for a moment before adding urgently, “You’re right, Lucien doesn’t matter anymore. But what about the others? If this world collapses, they’ll all die too!” The others?

My skull feels like it’s being split open. What’s happening to me? Shapes blur at the edge of my vision. Two figures emerge from the shadows, robes dark, circles glowing at their fingertips. Their voices rise in a low chant. Not mages. Wizards.

Hunter shouts. The Red Moon Covent moves around the warlock and the warlock brother’s Covent closes in on them as they all chant, but the mist from the warlock hands grows like he is drawing power from the chant. My warriors shift and run towards the warlock and the mist moves towards them and stops them dead in their tracks and throws them across the back yard.

The wizard would strike his staff on the ground and casted spells aloud and the whole sky would turn dark with great light emitting from the staff and its ray beginning to melt the wolves. It eventually forced the wolves to vanish to the amazement of everyone who watched the scene. Once the wolves were gone, the sky returned back to normal and the wizard turned and smiled at them. “I had thought my sister would help but remembered that she didn’t know how to diffuse the Inca spell” the wizard stated. “What is the Inca spell though?” Levi asked with curiosity written on his face. The wizard smiled and said “It is an ancient spell that diffuse mystical holograms” this amazed everyone and Dawso

Not everything could be healed with honey words. “Everley’s on its feet,” I said quietly as we passed the east wing. Kellan cocked his head. “Might be standing. Barely.” Witches and wizards stood at the outer edge of the courtyard, chalk runes in their fingers as they etched patterns into stone and tapped against the ward points that flared to life under their touch, fingers sparking with captured sunlight as they chanted to keep the weak protections in place. It was not elegant magic. It was not the dazzling spectacle I’d come to expect from Obscura. It was raw and ugly and magic that would keep them alive.

On the far end of the page, a bird soared high with a ring of fire placed around one of it's legs. There weren't any spell written on this one, and that intrigued me even more. There wasn't any words on this particular artist's impression, and that clear meant something. Channelling spells weren't easy to come by, in fact my mother used to tell me that no living witch in other parts of the world could perform that.

I lightly traced the pattern like I could touch him. These words were written: The old wizard said aloud, “Can you see what I can do?”

Astrid’s POV: My saviour witch, Helena, stood in the center of a circle of candles, each flickering with a different colored flame. With her eyes closed, she chanted in an unfamiliar language, causing the air around her to shimmer and twist as if reality was bending under the immense power of her spell. Suddenly, a burst of energy erupted from the circle, sending a shockwave through the room. When she opened her eyes, a small object materialized in her hand, glowing with an otherworldly light. She smiled, knowing that her little ritual had been successful.
