The truck came into view, buried under a layer of snow, and I couldn’t have been happier to see it. “I’ve mindlinked some men to come clean up the mountain,” Marcus said as he brushed snow off the windshield. “With the human dead, the police might come to investigate. “We wouldn’t want massive wolves and bodies scattered around when they do.” Riley climbed into the passenger seat without a word, while Ronan and I slipped into the back. “We already have werewolf hunters on our case,” Marcus continued, pulling the driver’s door open. “We wouldn’t want the damn world hunting us too.”

I ask warily. "I don't know," Willow says as she turns to look at me. "I don't know whose side she is on." "Why did you take the job?" I ask her quietly. "We could have gone into hiding." Willow snorts with laughter. "Faris will never stop hunting me. I cannot ask you to leave your pack." Brushing her hair off of her shoulder, I look at the mark that is slowly healing on her neck. I have never seen one quite like it. It is a crescent moon with a bright star in the center. Willow shutters as my fingers run over the mark.

Her growl echoed through the trees and her eyes glowed brilliant green. As Kathleen thrust the knife down, Emory shifted into full wolf and slipped through her legs. With extraordinary speed, Emory shifted back to Hunter, digging her fangs into Kathleen’s throat as she turned. Kathleen tried to thrust the dagger into her back, but she parried it with one flick of her wrist.

William left Greco’s house after it had passed midnight. He still finds it difficult to accept everything after hearing it all. The only difference now is that he knows they are telling the truth. He is Lawrence’s cousin, the son of the former alpha of the yellow-eyed werewolves to a human, and he is the niece of the current one, Greco. He’s not a typical average person. "Out" "Willow" "To gather intel on Elite Parker," Willow said with a sigh. Lothaire nodded and followed her, not before muttering under his breath- "now that's not too hard, is it?"

Her long, raven curls hugged her porcelain doll-like face. “You're supposed to take her to the dorm and help her settle in?” She pinned Elijah with a questioning look. “Or did something go wrong?” “Not exactly,” Elijah said, placing down my duffel onto the floor. I honestly forgot about it. “Let me show you. Hailey?” I nodded, throwing my hair back over my shoulder and exposing my neck to Mrs. Humphrey. She gasped, stepping forward to grab me by the arm. “My dear girl, the huntress must think highly of you.”

Thankfully, she jumps back in time and only ends up hitting the ground with a loud thud, groaning out in pain. Before the bastard can do anything else, I jump out from the tree, flying through the air at a hundred miles an hour, landing on the fury back, digging my hands into it’s back until it yelps out in pain. I give it a tug to the right, forcing it to fall over on it’s side as I prepare to sink my teeth into it’s thick neck. But when I look to find a good spot where I can end it’s life quickly so I can get to Willow, instead I look up and find Willow on the ground, her eyes locked on her arm as it gushes blood. Her hand is clasped to it, but she’s in too much shock that she can’t compre

“We have labs that can be rotated, but only upperclassmen typically use them for harder science courses. You’re welcome to take a-“ “Mate.” I hear a familiar female voice call from down the hallway before hearing a confirmation from Hunter, who looks like one smug bastard at this moment. I turn around, finding that my ears do not deceive me. Willow stands in the hallway, her face glowing as she walks to meet her mate for the first time.
