Their skin is translucent from years living underground. Their hair is matted. Their eyes roll wildly in their heads, not fixing on anything. Their lips are peeled back, baring pointed teeth. They’re naked.

Their eyes burned with an unnatural red glow that felt like fire on her skin. And there were dozens of them. Chained. Panting. Growling. Their breath steamed the air like smoke. Tiara tried to move... But the vision pulled her deeper, slamming her face to face with the largest Ravager. Its snout was scarred. Its jaw unhinged too wide, revealing rows of serrated teeth. Then the front door pushed open a little and a man stood there tall and mean looking with a snake tattoo climbing up his neck. He wore a leather jacket and his eyes went straight to me spread open and leaking on the floor. Matteo pointed the gun right at him but did not shoot yet. Stay right there he said in a cold voice.
