“No, no, no!”
Behind me, a sound filled the air.
My head snapped back to see that Seven wasn’t dead.
He moved, crawling across the blood-stained floor, one leg bent at a grotesque angle. His face was pale, his mouth bleeding, but his eyes still held that same manic glint.
“You can’t get out,” he croaked, his voice hoarse but laced with triumph.
I backed against the door, my chest rising and falling so fast it hurt. “Shut up.”
