Miguel shook their assailants as he skilfully navigated the boat through the river's bends and curves. The group was finally able to breathe now that the jungle had disappeared behind them. The journey was far from over, but the immediate threat had passed. Miguel's face was unreadable as he turned back to them. He continued, "You owe me big for this, Solomon," in a rough voice.
