The Rogue King's Surrogate Novels & Stories

It was quite small in my opinion and too degrading for a reputable hospital such as this one. “Alpha, after our conversation yesterday I've made all the necessary preparations and we can go to the lab when you're ready.” “In a minute,” I shook my head as my tone took on a slight edge. “I don't want just anyone as my surrogate because I'm not that desperate.” He nodded rather too quickly and I narrowed my eyes. “Of course Alpha, only the best for you and nothing else.” Even though I didn't trust his response, I decided to let it slide.

That was the world of the rogues, either you killed or you would be killed. And with him being the current King of the rogues, you won't imagine how many people had tried to kill him, wanting his throne. After all, to become a rogue King, you had to kill the current King and then you could take over. And well...Axel was the only Rogue King to survive this long without getting killed. After he killed the previous Rogue king as a young teenager, many had come for him thinking he was weak. Only to regret it as they faced his devil-like wolf and only their deaths. Nowadays not many even bothered to try to take him on from being scared to lose their lives.

“Alpha Nate? Maybe Alpha White?” Shaking my head, I rolled my eyes at her. “How about just Nate?” “How about Rogue King?” My eyes narrowed. “Don’t even joke about that. I’ve got enough on my hands. I don’t even have a pack that’s fully functional yet.” “Alright, alright. Still. Solaris was the Rogue King.” “It’s not passed down like that, Lor.” She shrugged. “I don’t know about that. Compassion and strength go hand in hand. They also come in pairs.”

Damon has grown up with her, though he cares for her because she was his pack member but that didn't mean she would cross her limits. He didn't know when she changed so much. It was all fine until she started looking at him in a weird way. Everything changed when their pack was taken from them. He became stronger, gathered all his men and kept the pack together. Being a rogue wasn't easy and as he was late Alpha's only son. It was his duty to protect his people. As a rogue he has to battle against many other rogues and small packs. He became ruthless, cold, merciless. He became the lone King of the rogues.

“I didn’t even think there were still two hundred of them left.” “Neither did I.” He whispered. Taking a deep breath and wiping some of the rain of my face, I rolled my shoulders. “Is it just Hunters?” He nodded. “As soon as we raised the banner of the Rogue King, all rogues they had employed, vacated the area. Most didn’t even stay within state lines.”

His gaze holds mine for several seconds before he looks down at his drink. I chew the inside of my cheek while wondering if I should start asking him questions about his time as the King of the Rogues. Everyone knows the history, of course. The Roguelands was… nothing back then. A deep, dark forest. Dark enough to hide in. Dark enough to disappear in. He gathered an army there out of misfits, bandits, and slaves. He ruled as king when there wasn’t anyone to rule. He overthrew an evil regime with forces whose training was nothing more than a life of survival in the same forest I’ve called home for so long. He understands. He’s still the king there, in some shape or form… at least, until Maeve

“The Rogue King isn’t acting on his own. He never was.” That stopped me cold. “What do you mean?” I demanded, my voice low, dangerous. “What the fuck do you mean he isn’t acting on his own?” Frederick’s gaze hardened, every trace of his earlier calm replaced by something grim and unflinching. “The Rogue King has a master.” For a moment, all I could do was stare at him. The words didn’t even register at first in my head. The monster who had slaughtered kingdoms, burned cities, caused a major chaos was answering to someone else?

Honestly, if I hadn’t had that conversation with my mum, I wouldn’t have been very hurt and offended by this Rogue’s statement, but hearing it now, I didn’t give two fucks. “We kill you and we go in there and kill your mother - here. And then… the rightful King takes the throne!” Another Rogue said. I frowned. Rightful king? “And who is this rightful King if I may ask?” I asked. “You will know him soon - here!” The Rogue that had stood his ground earlier voiced and grabbed hold of one of the heavy chains wrapped around his body. He swung it at my face. But I only saw it moments after it had been swung at me and I couldn’t inch away on time, so it came crashing on my face, across my left chee

I said, getting ready to kill him with the weapon they gave us. He quickly stopped me, which was what I was expecting. "Wait! I'll tell you everything you need to know, as long as you promise to get me out of here!" "If you talk fast enough, we can end this as soon as possible," Ruth replied. "Tell me, who is the Rogue King?" "That's just the name the leader gave himself. He is not a real rogue; he's just using the rest of us to get his goals. He's someone of high rank and high society, who is also very close to the Alpha King," he explained.
