Novel & Cerita The Selection Review

The anchor organizations had learned from bringing in the second cohort what questions to ask and what the answers needed to contain. Delores had led the selection committee. Not because anyone had assigned her to lead it. Because her eleven years of doing the work alone had given her the most specific understanding of what the isolation looked and felt like from the inside. She could read an organization's application and tell whether the isolation was real or performed. Whether the work was genuine or approximate. Six of the nine organizations she had flagged in the first review pass had been selected. Her instinct was that precise. I had watched the process from my observer position witho

The selection is split into three parts: the first one is the physical exam and power measurement, the second one is the written test and lastly the third one which is team battle and duels. Each person will be evaluated throughout the selection with their performance. Their performance throughout the selection will decide which squad they'll end up to and if they'll even join the defense department. The top 10 performers of the selection will be given the honor of choosing which squad they'll be joining. "Hmm, so I need to outperform all these people so I can join the squad one huh." Tim said. "There are about three hundred people here. If you want to join the top 10, you'll be going throug

Teddy began, “we will host The Crimson Selection. It’s not a game, and it’s not for entertainment. It's a tradition, older than most of you, older than this compound.” I felt Eli tense beside me. Teddy’s voice deepened. “Only the most resilient, promising, and disciplined recruits will be chosen. Your performance in the coming days will determine if you're worthy of placement... or disposal.” He smiled, but there was no warmth in it. Only a predator’s amusement. “Dismissed,” he said simply, and just like that, they turned and left. As we filed back into the training formation, I glanced sideways at Eli. “What’s the Crimson Selection?” I asked quietly.

he announces, eyes darting back and forth between us. Great. It’s starting. The pitting thing. “After my meeting with the elders’ council, I met with the board of directors at headquarters and we decided that the selection will be in two phases. The verbal test. And combat. Combat will be in three levels.” “Three levels,” Theo spits, finally unleashing that temper that he’s known for. “Three levels of what?” “You heard me, Theo.” Spencer sighs, running his fingers through his hair. Clearly, he’s not in the mood for one of Theo’s tantrums. Clearly, Theo doesn’t care.

Before I could stop myself, I tapped the message. It opened to a group chat filled with Fred Thompson's usual circle of friends. My hands shook as I scrolled up. [Everyone else is out. There are just Hannah and Ayla left. One's your official girlfriend, while the other's your new favorite secretary. Final round, man.] [I'm betting on Hannah. She's been with you five years; she's sweet, obedient, and yeah, she's got a great body. Perfect wife material.]

I shook my head slowly. “I… I don’t understand, sir.” “Of course you don’t.” He leaned back in his chair, savoring my confusion like fine wine. “The Selection is a tradition, you see. A gathering of the most powerful families in Italy. Every five years, we come together to… evaluate our assets.” He stood slowly, his considerable bulk moving with predatory grace around the desk until he was close enough that I could smell the garlic on his breath. “The wives, specifically. To see who has been properly trained. Who reflects well on their husband’s authority. Who has learned their place in our world?”

"Generally, it is based on age and cultivation, mainly selecting potential. If someone is older but has gained opportunities and their potential rises to a certain level, they will also be selected to participate in the holy banquet. Right now, it's hard to say who'll go." "Well, Sect Master Chase, and Mr. Walter, Mr. Norm, and Ms... Mr. Yara, as well as Ms. Willow and Ms. Lisa, you orthodox inheritors of the Miracle Doctor Sect should all have opportunities," Selmer said. "What about Elder Millie?" Willow looked at Millie in her military attire and asked. Helena looked at this Sky Demon general, not knowing what to say. "She should also be able to be selected, I suppose?" Selmer thought for

"Okay then, let's begin preparation immediately and search for the family with the oldest person in wolf town." "What! Oldest person?" Alpha Jack wasn't expecting such a turn. "I thought we already agreed to vote instead. Besides, whoever it is we are going to select from amongst ourselves here would only act as regent pending on the recovery of the king. (chuckles lightly) why do we need to carry out such when the king himself is not dead but only sick. We just have urgent matters to deal with." Alpha Jack wasn't ready to let all of his hard work be enjoyed by someone else.

with a hint of irritation in her voice. Kevin was going to argue back but saw me coming and asked me, “Alright let’s see what lily chooses, so lily apple or banana?” looking hopeful that I will choose banana. I looked between them and said, “Come on guys people can like both, it’s not like fruits get offended.” rolling my eyes, “Now come on I’m hungry.” They nodded but continued arguing, they didn’t even hear what I said. I just shook my head at their childish act and followed them checking my phone for any messages. I saw messages from my friends asking me if I liked the town, the school and how was my day.

"Sorry mom, I know I ask too much questions but I don't deserved this place, who knows me and besides I've not done anything to deserve a seat here, hope you didn't bribe my way here?" Linn narrows her eyes, I immediately regret my statement. There is a frown on Rex's face. "Bribe? Why would we do that and besides the body in charge of the selection do not take bribes, it's made of people who come from different part of the world, they sit down together and debate on those that would get the awards this year after careful delibration." Rex interjects. "Oh! So sorry." I get silenced. "Don't worry, you'll get to know what you did which got you here when the award-giving time comes." Linn assur
